I'd like to see it, it's a better fight for Khan than Peterson, Ortiz or McCloskey that's for sure.

Brook should be looking at the Magic Man, not Khan.

much as I wish Kell Brook success, this is true... he's calling out the top man at a lower weight, without having beaten any of the top men at his own weight... or at 140... Brook on here has 310 points, his best opponent rating is 243, which would put him (the opponent) just outside the top 25 at welter... 243 points btw is what Zab Judah currently has at 140... Brook has never fought a title bout at light welter so impossible for it to be known by anyone how he would be at the weight.

Get the feeling this might be a big step from your last opponents, like somebody else has said, malignaggi would be a good stepping stone and marker for where your at right now.

Think the big question about this fight being banded about is, would Mr Warren be happy with it being made at catchweight and for khan to control the fee for kell?

Or is this just another publicity stunt to get kell name out there again?

unless brook wants to boil down to 140 he has no business calling out khan, Khan is a 140 world champ any fight unless its a unification is made on his terms, therefore this will never happen, brook would be better off concentrating on the world champs at his weight or at least calling out matthew hatton the euro champ,

I'm not entirely sold on you yet Kell, your a super talented lad and on a totally different level/ universe in terms of talent to someone like myself, but from a fans point of view I don't see 'it' yet. I keep seeing your name come up in different well known writers top ten lists, but having watched you for most of your career i'm yet to see a really super credible performance from you. The best i've seen you box was stopping Kevin Mc and he was badly weight drained by all accounts. I thought Jennings was beginning to work you out before the premature stoppage.

But fair play to you mate, you've definately got something and I hope you have a great career. This fight has ZERO chance of happening IMO- but I would like to see it. Look forward to you proving me wrong.

1. If Khan wants to go bragging (untruthfully) on his twitter about how he used to beat Kell up in sparring when they were amateurs and thereby disrespecting Kell, let him prove how good he is.

2. If Khan is talking of taking on Mayweather, as he is, why not see how you go on against a "no name", as you put it, welterweight like Kell.

3. The fight would certainly fill a decent sized arena, if only for curiosity sake, so Khan would get good reward for, according to you, very little risk.

In reply to point number 1 im pretty sure khan only said that after kell had called him out and said he would beat him,in reference to point number 2 its true that kell is a 'no name' at the moment in terms of marketability,etc and khan would be giving him a payday when he hadnt earned it!Its not like he's the top dog in the welterweight division who who deserves a shot at khan based on his achievements in the ring.Anyway as for your last point well it probably would fill out a decent sized arena but nearly any khan fight would as he has a decent following,if he did lose then his image would be damaged severely especially in america where he's trying to become a big name and even if he won he would of beaten somebody that the majority of people at the moment dont know!Khan should be focusing on the likes of bradley and alexander at the moment not brook.Im not even a big khan fan and you can look through my posts to see that but i can see why khan shouldnt take this fight at the present!Brook should focus on fighting and beating the likes of mike jones,berto,mike alvarado,selcuk aydin and matthew hatton,etc then when he's proved himself as world class welterweight preferably by becoming a world champion then he can fight khan when he steps up to welter.

Personally, and I got no axe to grind, I think Amir's got the speed factor but one punch can change anything. Hopefully you guys get to fight, I doubt Amir is scared or anything, just might be Golden Boy want to take him a different route, for now.

As sg said, maybe better to let the fight stew awhile yet, rather than push for a catchweight? Khan will go to WW at some point, I am sure.
