I think he is a very good trainer indeed, a bloody good negoitiator as throughout David Haye's career he has indeed got "TOP" money for his man and that was even in the early years. Booth has been fabulous for David Haye and to be honest I do not think anyone else would have handled David Haye any better due to The Hayemaker's personality.
One slight note of caution in my praise for Booth's negoitaiting skills - whilst he has done fabulously well up until now for David Haye - he is now dealing with the top men in world boxing who would rather "cut their nose to spite their face" than lose face to Adam Booth and as such - in his negoitiations with these people I honestly believe Adam could be a tadge more flexible.
In boxing terms as a trainer and as a manager of a fighter Adam Booth has done brilliantly well in my view - as a person he lets very few people into that inner circle of his and thus that is where it rouses peoples suspicions about him.

I like Booth but I totally understand why people don't. He uses big words and complicated analogies to put a point across. He's a bit robotic, and perhaps patronising. But overall, I think he's a top coach. Always calm and collected in the corner.

who else has booth guided??? he's been through his fair few of fighters & has failed misrably.haye has boxed the same from day dot :!: he's got were he has on natural ability alone :!: which is pretty amazing.i agree with spud on the negotiating skill's. he's pretty much secured haye.
i think i have a more valid opinion then most as ive seen haye in the gym & then booth introduce himself as the fitness messiah. honestly they would talk about biceps & how rjjj's physique was in the olympics.he was seduced by booth

It's my opinion that's all, and from what I've seen of him he isn't that bad. If you have personal experience of him then you obviously have me on the backfoot, but the fact remains, I'm entitled to my opinion of him. To answer your question too, I have only seen him with Haye, Lindsey (I think), Groves and Price.

He's a bit of an eccentric character and clearly doesn't care less anyone else thinks about him but he has an air of a man who knows what he's doing and his partnership with Haye seems ideal.
I'd like to see him work with some other fighters apart from Groves.

honestly if you asked a trainer who's had to help him like eames or powell in person they would tell you he couldnt teach a dog how to pi$$.he has degrees in sport science & is an intelligent & extremely articulate & philosophical man & met haye at 16 & has pretty much groomed him

D .haye

D used to say things like when tyson was my age id off beat him :!: despite pulling out v dodson
![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
i could tell you story's like him refusing to pay sub's to carney because he was a star.

before groves went with him id of picked groves to beat degale.but now he'd get fukin embarrased & chinned.degale has somebody who know's technique & can add(jim mcdonell). booth is a politician & buisnessman & most of all a p.t

You seem to know a bit about him Hurlock, so he's not all that at ring technique. So does Haye and Groves have other people do drills with them?
do you think Groves would do better elsewhere?

how is it????? ive seen him spar with starie & crawford ashley as an am alongside a hole host of am fight's, i can see exactly how he's changed & can tell you who taught him.haye makes the same mistakes he's careless on the attack & doesnt position punches but chuck's out the hayemakers.
& why be rude what do you know to suggest its bollock's, share it with the forum, or shut up.

David Haye is not a Hobson fighter anymore and was only one for a short space of time.
Haye and Booth have improved as fighter/trainer big time in my view from the early days where Haye got caught cold on a number of occasions, their stratedgy going into some fights is also spot o, they analyse bloody everything from money, opponents and what they will state to the press - they have got things absolutely correct!!! in my opinion of course and no I do not work for them only did so for 1 show.

booth does great drill's & plyometric's which is explosive work which suits haye who blows up when forced to fight hard.dont brawl, dont brawl. he looks good for telling him obviously not what to do. how about tell him what he needs to fukin do. jimmy mac, tibb's,eames, nelson etc would of told him how to go about correcting faults with instructions.they are coaches tutor's

As excellent as I think Eames, Tibbs and Jimmy Mac are as trainers I think you severely underestimate the achievements of both Haye and Booth. You dont achieve what Haye has by simply doing the same thing throughout your career - bloody hell the more I think about your statement of Haye not improving the more I think you know little about the sport or that you are simply bitter and twisted with regards Hayemaker Boxing.

An improved Haye would be something. He seems to have plateaued a little in the HW division.

Known Adam years, from when He came down the Lodge padded Him a few times. He was a good little Fighter, but went for education instead. I always found Him a really nice Kid, To me He still is, His job is to look after the welfare of one David Haye, doing a good Job.

I agree with what you're saying,Haye makes alot of technical mistakes and other trainers have commented on that. For starters he's been caught and wobbled a few times and its always been when his hands are low and not protecting his chin,he pot shots too much rather than throws shots in combinations and quite often when he goes on the offensive he doesnt think about his defense and his body positioning ends up all over the place and alot of the time he ends up in the southpaw stance through over reaching!

I'm with you on that 100%, Groves does the same thing now. He's a bit more seasoned but no more technically skilled than when he turned pro which is a real shame. I don't see haye doing anything different other than pacing himslf a bit better and maybe having better stamina. He looked puffed against Valuev and Ruiz.

Yes He isnt perfect Haye, but He is a Heavywweight Champion, they are a good team. Trouble when you try and mend it, make sure you dont Break it. The pscycodinamics are set.

EXACTLY if it aint broke dont fix it.booth has done great for haye contractually etc. there biggest strength is they are aware of davids weakness & steer well away from it.haye does have bottle & would of faced any klit straight away on his term's but is now out pricing himself as if it's the klits who have to prove to the world against him which i find ludicrous.

NOT MANY TRAINERS HAVE TRAINED THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD...MANY HAVE TRIED...MANY HAVE FAILED. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE FIGHTER MAKES THE TRAINER OR WHATEVER. THE NOUSE ETC THAT HAYE AND BOOTH HAVE SHOWN HAS GOT THEM A LONG WAY AND MADE THEM BOTH MILLIONAIRES........ THERE ARE MANY TRAINERS/MANAGERS/PROMOTERS WHO WOULD BE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR RESUME AND their BANK BALANCE.
and apologies for the stuck capitals key !!! i am not shouting!!
