If they are the best British heavyweights and others refuse to fight them then I dont think we have much to look forward to. Wouldn't it have been better for the fans to have seen Dallas v Price instead of the poor opposition they both faced?

He says he wants to keep them apart but a defeat at this stage of their careers wont really hurt them at all so i dont see why he doesnt just match them up together if they can get descent opponents

Got to disagree with you there mate, the boy Dallas fought gave Martin Rogan a lot of trouble in their 6 rounder over in Ireland. I think it was more an impressive performance by big Dallas !

This will be a decent fight - Machimana will test Price's chin if he lands.

IF he lands , he needs to be in shape to catch him first , look , this is getting beyond the joke now , im a fan of Frank Maloney , i have his autobiography etc , and feel i shouldnt be doing this but , im annoyed at the level of opponents your bringing in , its been said to you for a while now so why not take notice , you know yourself its the case too so stop making stupid excuses otherwise your going to ruin the money making careers of your 2 young heavyweights in particular , you dont want them to become like audley harrison with no one taking them seriously , listen to us , we only say this stuff is we rate them highly we just want to know if they have the minerals , the mental steel to go further , step them up a level , Seriously

I blame the referee. He should have waved it off as soon as he saw the state of Osborne's stomach.

I think it was clear to see that Price's opponent had seen better days and had come into the fight very much out of shape and coming for a payday. Which is a great shame and I guess should try to be avoided in his future opponents.

Unless you live in SA or someone tells you how would one know what shape they are in you can only go by what you are told and we were told he was in training for a fight in Sa but the money we offer was much better than he was getting in SA so he would take this one and it was a change to get a bigger fight for the commonwealth title if he won.

i agree with frank, its not his fault they come over out of shape, there records are good and we have to appreciate when match making its impossible to keep everyone happy, i really do believe price and dallas are making good heavyweights look awful, i would put them in with anyone in the uk except haye or chisora ! keep up the good work frank.
one question frank, when i saw you at bethnal green at steve bunces show you said you are partly promoting george groves, is this still true ?

Frank, Machima was a decent opponent and you are not at fault for whatever shape Machima comes to this country in. You did your job, Price did his, Machima did not. Onwards and upwards. I do think you need a few big yanks to come over and test Price because you don't want Price to be getting his baptism of fire in his 25th fight in a 12 rounder.

Although the fight didn't turn out like i wanted, i was impressed with how fit Price looked, he looked to have a bit more muscle on him now. He probably needs a bit more power on his jab, it can become a controlling weapon for him. Body shots were landing (big target i know), but he gets good power into them .

He's 27 years old, so plenty of time. I'd like to see him get back into the ring quickly, last year he had 4 fights, 2 of those were 1 round blow outs. For me he should of been out every 2 months, but i'm guessing matching him is the problem here.

If Price is going to face these type of journeymen then he should be out on every Maloney bill, whether televised or not. Talk about stagnation. If Frank is struggling with opponents then get the boy Dallas in with him.

Yeh I guess you can only go off what you are told, but I also think it gives more credence to the idea of getting him in with fighters who are more active and seen regularly on other shows, than bringing these unknown quantites over from Europe and in this case South Africa, who you don't really know what shape they are gona arrive in.

Just get a domestic opponent with some form?

Or put them in together or with a Dave Ferguson.

Price's opposition so far has been nothing short of a disgrace, end of story.

The frustraition that the fans are feeling with the match making must be 10 fold for these two top prospects,
Id step them up before they get other offers from promotors who seem to have more faith in there prospects, Chisora's 13th pro fight was for the british title Tom Dallas's 13th fight was against a man ranked 479th in the world there is no getting away from these facts they are stairing us all in the face, Tyson Fury's 8th fight was for the English Title what gives ???? Is frank seeing something that I don't because I think Tom Dallas and David price are better than Fury and just as good if not better than Chisora :witzend:

He was knocked out in the 1st round by Michael Sprott less than a year ago. He was not a good opponent.

There is that H I didnt wanna raise that point but its a massive indication in to the quality of Dallas opponent. Having said that Sprott form did improve since that, (bar losing to Audley)

He went 6 rounds with Rogan, so what?

At best Kreiskott could be said to be an acceptable journeyman for Dallas to fight to stay busy and build his record, but to say he is a good opponent for a 12-0 fighter is silly.

I think credit to Price, he fought well and got the guy out of there. Would have preferred to see more of him and see him challenge Price more, but at the end of it, he didn't give him a chance from the first punch.

Hope he gets a good match next.
