I remember a very good Southern Area title fight headlining Sky before.....Ross Minter Vs Chas Symonds, the british small hall Hagler Hearns that was.

Anyway glad the bills on, 2 good fights, would rather see them than not.

I understand Sky's point wanting to keep quality control but I'd rather see competitive domestic fights like these (especially Larry Vs John) than some commonwealth prospect vs afro/euro bums

they were already fighting... not as if Fury was making any noise about fighting Larry when he held the belt above him... yeah it would be a good fight to see but arent there enough challenges in europe or the states to save us from smashing our prospects into eachother like some boxing CERN?

As he showed against Brook, Lomax is a class below - this is a 2 star fight at best, Gavin will have this in 3-5 rounds.

Would Michael definately tell you CG if he had got the offer, I can see no reason why he would not as you are obviously close, its just such a strange one, everyone and his dog reporting the fight on and yet Lomax has not had a call, perhaps its all mind games and they know he will take it and leaving it late, the other scenario is of course that there is still an argument with
Sky as to whether they cover the fight and that presumably would change the amount that can be paid to Lomax, more if tv cover it and less if they don't

I guess all will be revealed on ringside tonight at 2100 they always say what the next live boxing is

Keep us informed this is a bizarre set of circumstances

All I know is that when frankie came on here and said the fight was defo on, I spoke to mike and he had been told that it was not looking good due to sky not being happy with no title fights on the bill. I personally think he'll get the call early tomorrow, with the hope that he thinks there's no fight and has a decent meal and struggles to make weight.

Think you may be right mate, no doubt he will be watching ringside tonight, if they announce the fight and he has not been told anything how poetic would it be if he dont answer his phone tomorrow.

Presume economics mean that wont happen but this situation is beyond a joke really, people have hotels and trains and tickets and allsorts booked, how hard is it to actually
make an official announcement either way.

The boxers need to know as well, what if Michael had decided to go out tonight for a few beers and a ruby after the Purdy fight was off or even booked a weekend away etc, its jut plain
crazy.

Exactly. He's getting to the stage if he doesnt hear anything soon, he's gonna assume there's no fight. The same happened with the short notice debacle for the kell brook and Craig Watson fights. Warren just seems to want to catch everyone off guard. I personally hope that he gets the call and tips it bollocks, and the show gets cancelled. Then perhaps this sort of thing might stop. I cant understand the mind games. These sort of fighters are supposed to be world beaters, so why all the silly antics.
