Not all the jobs in boxing are glamorous or paid. The man who runs the Plant Works gym in Doncaster has been there about 40 years; day in day out with no pay. The same for John Oxenham and Carl Tilley who have a Doncaster gym, used to be Prince of Wales and now in Intake. They give their time and experience for the love of the sport.
I imagine there's 100's or even 1000's up and down the country who keep the sport going just for the love of it. Those who are at the top end who get well paid are both very good and very lucky.
Best of luck with it lefty, you sometimes get what you want in life.

Hi Simon, well i was never looking to get into boxing as a career choice you know, just a hobby but a way of getting to know the sport abit better than i do as a pure fan. Also getting to meet boxers would be a cool experience for a fan and also become less ignorant in the process

Well to be brutally honest im not sure id want to be involved in boxing as a career,im a business and economics student at the mo so thats the kind of area id like to get in career wise.Obviously you could get involved as a promoter but thats a very tough way to make money and even know i criticise them from time to time i appreciate the toughness of that profession! Also I think if boxing was my career aswell as my love im not sure id enjoy boxing as much you know.

You'd do worse than get up at the weekends. Jamie Moore is some introduction to pro boxing; you can't buy those things.
