I believe Steve Wood has a show on there a week on Friday. Not been myself but I've been told by many knowledgable people that it's the best venue in the country atmos wise.

I remember taking a friend for Hatton v Ray Olivera. Mistakenly went to the London Arena as I didn't realise it had closed down. Commented on the way there that 'it's a bit quiet tonight...' and arrived to find that the place had closed down. Embarrassment all round. Did eventually find the Excel just in time.
