thats kinda the way i was thinking , hence my card having several guys from notts on it , seems people probably wont appreciate those same fighters though ,although Jai managed to get a good card that included some local fighters .

Im going to have a good look later to try to do a solid card .

what about a promoter game like this - supported by a dedicated BoxRec page directly connected to the BoxRec database:

Nottingham well represented there mate , 3 lads with tony harris and i cant see any of them winning lol .

HAha yeah well I'm welsh and live in notts hence the match making. I wouldn't rule out barrington brown winning. That guy is brutal. How do you rate Harris as a coach? Killer could be real good if nurtured right in my opinion

Ive heard so many people tell me how good killer is , My sister in law , who happens to fight for me is trained by him , and ive seen flashes of him looking good once or twice so dont know why hes both so inactive and also not got any better than his 5-5 record (i think thats his record) , i personally dont know him myself , although i have met him , so dont know if theres any issues with him or anything .

As for Tony ive always thought he was a descent trainer but when i look at the fact only Booth has had any success of recent times out of Majestic makes me wonder , also a good friend of mine is also a pro trainer and he doesnt think tony is all that .

seems that from the Majestic gym the fighters dont get out enough , when you think of how inactive the likes of Barrington Brown , Tyrone Wright , Curtis Valentine etc are , there all lads that have had potential but there careers are so stop start , i know Curtis hasnt been around for too long but im pretty sure hes not boxed for a while now and one of my own fighters , Nathan McIntosh only had 5 bouts in his first stint as a pro , he returns to the pro game at the end of the year but its my view he should stay with his current trainer Lee kidger rather than revert back to tony , Ill even speak to a few people to get him pro fights myself if i have to , i did enquire about a pro managers license for this very reason but needed to have previously held another license with the board for at least 3 years so thats that , just have to wait till ive saved some funds to go pro as a promotor , it will happen one day , 2014 is my target , ill still only be 34 then too so will be still a young promotor

In my experience with him, he tries to be floyd mayweather snr and that he wants everyone boxing the same style. Killer is an animal, i think the issues with him are psychological rather than anything else. Im unsure whether he has a 'boxer's brain in terms of being able to cope when things dont go his way. Who is on the show on the 18th?

to be honest i only know of terry maughan being on it so far and thats cos hes selling tickets on facebook , i think its a robin hood promotions event , so therfor Matt scriven , which is funny cos he knocked Maughan out on his debut on undercard of Froch v Dirrell , but dont know whoelse is on it as its not yet listed on boxrec , but froch v dirrell was the last pro show to take place in nottingham so interested in going to see some boxing regardless of whos on .
