Slap your the man who will know..whats the young lads name who they did a small piece on in the boxing news the other week,he was same weight as Barnes&club i think..did he enter?

Ryan just won the Youth Olympics but lost in the first round to Michael Conlan.
A truly amazing depth of talent this year. Mind blowing really for a tiny country.

I am very impressed by Joe Wards victory over Kenny Egan. Egan will have to get his tactics right if he is lucky enough to be granted a box off against young Ward.
It is hard to believe that a prime Egan at 29 could not outhustle a lad as young as Ward. He was not able to put enough pressure on McCarthy last year either but I put that down to undertraining and too much partying.
I thought that this year after intensive training in the USA that he would be very strong and focused.
I have been a fan of Egans over the years and I hope that he gets a chance to redeem himself.
The IABA are a ruthless organisation and I wonder if they will now pull Egans grant funding? I bet thats long gone now that he has lost.
