I thought he done well, he didn't get beaten by much, and thought that Vazquez just did enough(maybe a punch or 2 more a round more).

Agree Buster he did try too hard, but the clash of heads early in the fight didn't help and if anyone watched the IBO fight, he doesn't fight well with cuts.

As the analysts were saying he looked very good in defeat and that Lenny should only consider this as measuring stick. He can take a lot from this fight and i will say that when you hurt someone to the body early continue on going to the body cause Lenny had him wincing from the body shots early but threw too many Haymakers from then on.

Very slick boxer is Vasquez, but not really a crowd pleaser, however he gets the job done.

Hold your head up Zappa, you've done yourself and this country proud, I'm proud to call myself a fan :TU:
really? mate i like lenny but from about the 4th round on you could tell exactly how it was going to go. vasquez would be in, throw 2,3 or 4 shots and be out. lenny would throw and vasquez wouldnt be there anymore.

lenny won 3 rounds tops.

It was a bad clash of styles for Lenny, Vasquez was slick and evasive and won pretty much at a canter. I think Lenny Z can still win a world title as he is a good fighter but it looks like he and his managment need to look out for the 'hit and run' types because he was exposed by Vasquez last night.

Maybe change of tactic half way might've helped. Let Vasquez come forward & concentrate more on defence ?

carlos,

i don't think they have to stay clear of hit n run fighters, i just think they need to give lenny more experience against that style, but fighters who r a grade or 2 below vasquez, thats all.

he might not be one of the big punchers who can still overcome guys like vasquez, but with more experience it will only benefit him.

he's still young though.

Lenny

The Chupryna actually holds meaning, it isn't some pop culture fashion accessory. You're not a Kozak, you're not Ukrainian or Russian and you aren't Kostya Tszyu. Cut your hair.

Lenny is of Italian heritage & I would prefer him sporting up-market type hair style. IMHO, it just doesn't suit him

Yep! It's a boxing forum & he's a boxer. Therefore, anything about him is subject to discussion....whether be lack of jabs or his appearance.

I Like it and i hope he keeps it, and totally agree with Coneye, some of you blokes need a couple of spoons of cement.

Adam, Vazquez probably hit lenny 4 or 5 times clean a round, lenny probably hit Vazquez 2 times clean a round, Lenny was by far the agressor and without question forced the fight, regardless of how boring the fight was.

And i too agree Lenny only won 3 rounds, but i don't think Vazquez won 9 or 10 rounds either, there were certainly at least 3 rounds even there with little to no action. I thought around 117-113 was more appropriate.
