I think it would be cool to have 8 heavyweights representing 8 different countries.

Tua's far too good for any prizefighter. And too much in debt to ever consider it.

He owes millions to the taxman - unfortunatly 32k is a drop in the ocean. But he's fighting this saturday and it's the end to a silly t.v deal he signed so more meaningful and better paid fights should follow.

I would like to see Cedric Boswell from the states. In shape I reckon he would beat Haye and give the Klits real trouble. Terrific old school fighter is Boswell.

Big Ced is all old school beast. I'd lvoe to see him decimate some of the European guys.

But he aint getting any younger. He'd smash the field listed below in my opinion.

Tubbs got paid but it was nowhere near the $1 million originally advertised.

Seemed a good concept but too many of the original line-up pulled out.

That's not a very inspiring list. I saw Egobe at the last prizefighter and was unfortunate enough to draw him out of the sweepstake. I saw Ahunanya fight Tua last year and I think he threw about ten punches in 12 rounds, Nel and Botha are way way past it and I've never heard of Flo Simba.

To be realistic, we need to eliminate anyone who

a) is aiming for a title shot (whether they'll get it or not is irrelevant - it's their stated goal) and a PF win would not aid them in that regard. So scratch Holyfield, Sam Peter, Tua, Toney.

b) can get more than, or a similar amount, to the 32k for a single fight. Again, that eliminates Holyfield, Peter etc.

c) couldn't be match-fit by May, so forget the long-inactive likes of Tyson, Bowe, Butterbean.

d) has a major fight scheduled before, in or soon after May. This eliminates Boswell, Peter, Holyfield, McBride, Leapai

So, basically, fighters with a reasonable name/reputation who stand to gain more with a win than they would lose with a defeat.

First of all, we'd need one or two UK guys. Previous winners Sprott, Rogan and Harrison would be good. Danny Williams, now that he's come back, would have nothing to lose. Skelton, while old, would be worth another run.

One or two big-name ex-champs from the States who are still active but don't look to be getting a title shot anytime soon. McCall, Briggs or Rahman would be perfect.

Some faded big names from other parts of the world - Botha, Owen Beck, Timo Hoffman, Corrie Sanders

Some respected/exciting veterans - Barrett, Travis Walker, Lance Whitaker, McCline

Undefeated fighters with something to prove - Flo Simba, Tor Hamer, Justin Whitehead

One or two giants just for the spectacle - Julius Long, Ustinov, Fields

Some journeymen who've been known to spring upsets - Demetrice King, Zuri Lawrence, Zack Page...

Boxers who've won similar tournaments before would carry a bit of prestige. How about Maurice Harris, who won the Thunderbox equivalent a few years ago, or Ivica Bacurin, who won the latest Bigger's Better and actually looked pretty decent.

Some realistic comebacks specifically for Prizefighter a la Reid, Dodson, Holden (I know the latter two didn't actually happen, but you know what I mean) - Moorer, Byrd, Maskaev, Larry Donald, Mercer?? (probably wouldn't be licensed by the board)

Sure, not "very inspiring" but Prizefighter is not for A-listers. In all honesty though I don't see the point of having a has-been international heavyweight prizefighter. I think the concept is much better suited to lighter weights and younger boxers where there's more action and I'd keep it with well supported home fighters. If it's not broke don't fix it.

Well it shouldn't be all has-beens. The best Prizefighters are a mix of hopefuls and veterans. As for the weights, I'd say with the exception of the recent superfeather one, they have tended to more entertaining higher up the scales - heavyweights 1,2,3, cruiserweights 1 and lightheavies 1.

Like to see Sprott in this. If not like to see Sprott fight Dimtrenko v Snowseki? (I know I spelt Albert name wrong)

I'll say that Mike Perez will enter and win this IF he can put the cakes and rum away for two months.

Rahman, Vinny Madelone,Kevin Johnson,Sprott, Sexton, Mike Perez all mentioned to be in it by Eddie Hearn on the main event show. 4 of names be annouced on Thursday.

Germany, Hollond, Polond all take the tv for this apparently.

It's got potential as an idea, I'd watch it, but guys like Botha, Witherspoon etc will never get licenced. Even Danny Williams might struggle.
