Very true Mr Will, the only thing I can argue is that Tackie has consisently failed at the highest level (and I do mean very highest) as has Phillips in recent times. So if its a Weiss, Urkal, Dorin, Camacho Jnr, Coreley, Leijla or anyone on the fringes (although Dorin sounds touch too tough at this stage) I'd be more than happy, providing his opponent after is a step up.
Cause a step up from that your talking Branco/Gatti winner, Tszyu, Mitchell, Cotto, Harris and Judah. I'd even accept Mitchell as a fight of huge significance even if he fails his taunting task of Tszyu in Russia!
That must be the first time since Rocky 4 that a world title fight is held in Russia.
Its slightly different than Judah and Tszyu because they have faught, Cotto's beaten to the level below Tackie, but yes he hasn't beaten Tackie's level, yet. But I do ask, who did you consider the major threat Cotto or Tackie.
Sometimes you have to consider/rate prospects higher than guys who have failed consistently at the highest level, and with a special talent like Cotto the case is correct.
But very true, Hatton should be ranked above Cotto and Urkal now - but both are still a better class than Tackie.
