The lure of a Khan undercard fight, plus a title shot in the near future might have swayed him. Not to mention maybe offered more ££.

Rendall fought 10 times in last 3 years, but it's been nearly six months since Nishioka. Was that just Rendall taking time out or were opportunities thin on the ground ?

IVe enjoyed his journey with Maloney so far, must admit.

This was a team decision to let him have a good rest as all those 10 fights were all over 12 rounds and with the training that goes into Monroe getting down to the weight. Look at how many times the Hatton fighters fight no were an many as Monroe has had with only 6 shows a year he going to get a lot of rest now.

Perhaps Munroe wanted to go with a company that was prepared to guarantee and commit.

Totally shocked at Munroes decision, Franks done wonders for Rendalls career, I always thought him and Frank were a matchmade in heaven.

Rendall was obviously a valued employee who has been paid fairly well but I'm sure he made money for his promoter and has decided to move on to make more money for what is left of his career .

It's only one side of the story but without a very good reason there's no excuse for that, some common decency wouldn't go amiss.

I'm really thinking of ways to defend Munroe - but I cannot really. I just hope it was a "team" decision and Rendell had no imput in how it was handled, or thought Maloney had been informed by another member of "team Munroe" or Hatton Promotions.

But really, its inexcusable or indefensivable.

Frank has done a brilliant job with Rendall, getting him the euro shot when he hadn't even won the British belt. It was a nice story and something that you warmed to, all the more cos everyone seemed to have their feet on the ground.

I guess the main reason for this is shown in that Leicester newspaper piece. As a boxer would you rather be boxing at Rainton Meadows or at the MEN Arena on the undercard of a marquee event. All those European title bouts were still in leisure centre style venues with 500 people there, so maybe he feels Hatton's can take him to the next level. Looking at Munroe's record he has never boxed in an Arena once, so even just the one fight on the Khan undercard has to be a massive lure for him. A boxer's career is short so I say make the most while they can, but there has to be some loyalty in the game surely, I mean Frank seems a good promoter who stays loyal to his fighters.

For Frank to find out on Facebook though is pretty appalling. After all he's done for Rendall he at least deserved a call and a chance to counter with some sort of offer.

Missing the point totally. Rainton Meadows an Arena! LMAO! So is Robin Park in Wigan! MEN Arena holds around 22,000 and will be full for Khan.

Not quite MEN or O2 is it. Am not knocking these venues as good solid venues for boxing, just giving reasons as to why Rendall would take the switch.
