time will tell but thats the great thing about boxing not every boxing fan agrees with every subject,nigel wright has 3 oppertunities to fight ste williams and 1 of them times ste got injured but the other 2 wright or his management team havent stepped up to the plate. i just think he is too stand off ish and waits too long in fights,alex arthur is a super featherweight not a light welter so i wouldnt read into the arthur fight too much

the lightwelter weight and lightweight division in britain is great at the moment there are plenty of domestic fights out there. at lightweight there are crolla mathews murray rees wright and watson all of these fights would be great to watch,then there is light welter with gavin theophane williams wright daws cook and morrison all good fights against each other me personally id do a super 6 in each division seperate the men who will make and the men who are the nearly men

Was Ian John Lewis instructed not to score the fight a draw? Did the BBBofC give their permission for there to be a no draw policy at PrizeFighter?

It seems he only got "in trouble" because his scoring of the last round was so clearly wrong, rather than the BBBofC seeing a problem with him trying to desperately score the fight to one fighter or the other, instead of scoring the fight the obvious way and giving a draw.

Matchroom and BBBoC have set a dangerous precedent by trying to sweep this under the carpet. Matchroom have agreed a deal with Sky for another 12 Prizefighters over 2 years, so there are likely to be a number of instances where the following scenario will occur....

Fighter A clearly dominates Fighter B in Round 1. Not to the extent of a 10-8, but comprehensively enough to be 10-9 on all cards.
Round 2 sees a fairly even round, but Fighter B scores a clear knockdown of Fighter A and thus takes the card 10-8 on all typical cards.

Now given the apparent policy of avoiding a draw, the only way Fighter A can avoid defeat is to score a KD in Round 3. If it is a tight round or even a comfortable round without a KD, the judges will not score 10-9 to A as they would in a "normal" situation, but would score 10-9 to Fighter B or 10-10, thus avoiding the draw.

Everyone watching future Prizefighters now knows that scoring is not carried out in the standard way but is done in order to force a result. If I were a gambler, I'd be licking my lips as close fights with KDs are disproportionately more likely to go to the man with the KD over the man who "wins" 2 out of 3 rounds.

he moved down but cause crolla wont fight him he is meant to be in an eliminator with steve williams for the british title but it went to purse bids and no one wants it so were does that leave wright now?
