Diagnosed with epilepsy around that time, and if memory serves retired to get out of a contract with Warren. Warren ended up sueing him for libel which Marsh won. In between all this someone shot Warren, Marsh did 10 months on remand (think its jail to the yanks) but got off at the trial.
Surely he retired because the board does not allow boxers with epilepsy to fight. It wasn't his choice, he couldn't get a licence.
Im hazy on the details but im sure part of the court case was him unretiring... maybe it was the epilepsy but the way i was told the story first time is that the epilepsy was feigned to get out of the warren contract... ALLEGEDLY lol[/quote
he was diagnosed with epilepsy there was some storys in the papers at the time that it was made up by marsh to get out of the warren contract but marsh sued sevral newspapers over that and won a few quid, it also cost him his carear as a fireman. i'm also sure a read a few years ago that he is involved in politics and is now legally called non of the above.

I think he retired due to hand injuries or something.
I think he is a trainer in Germany nowadays. Maybe someone can confirm?
Didn't he go into rally driving after boxing?

What happened to Zeljko Mavrovic? I remember him giving Lennox Lewis a tough fight and that he was trying to become the first vegetarian heavyweight champion when he fought him. The Lewis fight was his first and only loss as he never fought after that, why? He finished with a very respectable 27-1-0 (22 KO's).

Mavrovic had to retire after being diagnosed with a muscle wasting disease.

SAN DIEGO — Police took a motorist into custody late Thursday after a pursuit that started in Pacific Beach and ended with shots fired at the border.
He was identified as 28-year-old Francisco Arevalos Bojado. Bojado’s Facebook page and boxing websites describe him as a professional light welterweight boxer known as “Panchito.” As an amateur he represented Mexico in the 2000 Olympic Games in Australia, but lost in a qualifying round. He was born in Mexico and has lived in Los Angeles.
The incident began when officers tried to stop a 2002 Chevrolet sedan on Crown Point Drive near Moorland Drive just after 11 p.m. for a minor traffic violation, San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown said. The license plate on the car, which was registered in Los Angeles, reportedly was covered.
The driver refused to pull over, ran at least one red light and headed south on Interstate 5, driving erratically and talking on his cellphone, Brown said. At one point the car ran over spike strips and the two front tires were flattened, but the driver continued to head toward the border.
Customs and Border Protection officials were notified and stopped traffic at the crossing, resulting in a backup of cars, Brown said. About 11:40 p.m., the driver came up on the line of cars and attempted to go around by driving on the right shoulder, Brown said. He hit a 2007 Volkswagen and kept going.
A Customs agent then fired twice at the Chevrolet, but missed, Brown said. The driver got out and ran but was quickly apprehended and arrested.
Bojado was booked into jail on several charges, including suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and hit and run. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
A woman who was riding in the car with him was detained and later released, police said.

I ran into David Reid two years ago at an amateur show in Michigan. He was coaching up at Northern Michigan University with the Olympic Education Program and working on getting his GED done as well as pursuing other school.
