Board would not let Meehan fight due to age I heard same with Botha. Johnson apparently could not leave USA due to unpaid child maintenance. Gomez visa problems not sure what they are?

Still should be a good night of entertainment I reckon and well worth watching.

I think the 32k for the winner is a bit light if they want to attract bigger names. It also needs to have the winner getting a shot at some sort of belt. Sprott won it before and admitted today on SSN that it didn't open any doors except another shot at winning it again...

True that, they get real credit for trying to evolve the Prizefighter format. They'll get it right in the end I'm sure with their experience.

Definitely worth watching - still an ok line up.

I'm not exactly displeased with Gomez, Johnson and to a lesser extent Oquenda dropping out. Gomez and Johnson could have easily won the tournament just by pumping out their jabs for 3 rounds and winning in a rather boring fashion which goes against what Prizefighter should to be about.

In all honesty they were hardly household names so won't effect ticket sales that much, it's the brand of Prizefighter that sells now. Matchroom have obviously had some bad luck with the late drop-outs but perhaps they should have gone for guys not ranked by the various organisations, therefore a loss wouldn't hurt their ranking.

As mentioned before they should have gone for 8 boxers who are big punchers and like to trade and see who the last man standing was. We still have Tye Fields, Sprott, Perez and Tony so thats still a pretty good half a line up.

It's still decent by Prizefighter's low standards. Worth a look, if only to see if Perez can wreck his way through it.

to get a halfdecent view you've presumably got to pay £50 !!! price hike

they made a big mistake going for the 'name' internationals when they could have just stuck to the kind of fighters that would provide real excitement....

atm it promises to be a dull affair
