Agreed. But tonight both fighters were Champions, and they both had a title to gain. For a rematch, the situation would be different, and what would Groves gain by beating him
again?
It's a no win situation for Groves, if he beat DeGale again, he's just repeating a past achievement.

Yes. It would be a dangerous fight for Groves, but the loss (of what he stands to lose) doesn't weigh with what he satnd to gain.
