Just a quick point I think clev with a different trainer and the fight would be completely different
Is he really a cash cow for W_rren though? He's not headlined a bill yet and although he was due to headline against Braehmer, they were really selling the fight on the back of Groves v DeGale. All this talk of the millenium stadium is pretty optimistic to say the least unless there is a conference centre for a few thousand fans.

He's nowhere near the position to command ppv but will no doubt want more money per fight so maybe a big name and risky fight to see if he sinks or swims is just what the doctor
ordered
Ok agreed at the moment he isn't a big cash cow but the potential is there so I really can't see warren risking him, do people think that mentioning the big names is anything more than just a publicity stunt to attract the public I certainly doo.

I personally would like warren to concentrate on the more abled boxers in his stable such as frankie Gavin, billy Joe Saunders and Jamie cox personally think all three have more talent than cleverly or degale for that matter and should get there chance

He was a stone overweight I heard mate, took the fight last minute but couldn't make the weight.

i never seen bellew in the amateurs but from what i hear from a few people who know him and trainers is he was a good boxer had a brilliant jab plus his knockout punch power but since turning pro he has just depended on his power,i would love to see tony bet his boxing skills together and try boxing abit more, we all know that if you put your punches together your knock outs will come.
clev does leave himself open but thats what is exciting about him,but when he strings them shots together its brilliant to watch.
if this fight came off i think clev might have more skills than tony but tony as we all know could pull the k.o punch right out the blue.

Clev's not beaten anyone world class yet.

He'll get there, but until he beats someone he's not proven he's yet at that level.

It sounds rediculous a 24 year old champion and a 46 year old champion fighting and the older man being the favourite but B Hop is one of the most special fighters of all time. Clev is a great talent but the old man is the finished article which Nathan isnt. The great master would expose Clevs flaws and beat him conclusively like he did Pavlik. As for Cleverly v Bellew I would go with Clev but I wouldnt rule out Bellew getting through Clevs poor defense and landing the big one. A bloody good domestic dust up with even more hate than Groves/DeGale but would Warren risk it.

He is also the lineal champion. So, I agree, it would be a very good win for Cleverly.

Tony Bellew should at least beat McKenzie and McIntosh before he fights Cleverly, because at the moment he isn't even the second highest ranked domestic light heavyweight.
