Setanta's studio setup was great. I miss it.

To be honest they should just have a 3 man team, I dunno say...Bunce, Darke and Jon Thaxton(impressed me a lot when he did a bit for ITV as did Froch) and let them have at it, presenting and commentary.

Dave Darts seems like a nice fella but always seems to be smirking, kind of like his sleeping with your missus behind your back....

He reminds me of Gordon off Thomas the Tank Engine.

I can't remember which one now(may Gordon I dunno) but he has one of those faces which wouldn't look out of place on one of those trains.

Dave Darts - Bit annoying but not overly bothered by ring announcers in general, can tolerate most of them around at the mo.

Johnny Nelson - DOn't get me started, not a bad pundit but a preseneter on Ringside, oh dear.

Jim Watt - A bit like Andy gray, sometimes gets on your tits but adds something to fights, you kind of miss him when hes gone, adds a bit of drama sometimes with his scottish growling.

Newbon tonigh - 6/10, doesnt seem wholly comfortable with the dragging stuff out between fights, agree that the master of this was Buncey who I used to love when he went off on a rant.

Why doesn't sky give Buncey an opportunity? Has he pissed someone off there?

I was a big fan of Buncey and Andy Kerr as a double act. Those two and McGuigan in the studio, reckon that'd work a treat. All theoretical of course, not allowing for contracts & who's pissed off who etc.

Sky do a good job on boxing and under Adam Smith and his team they are trying real hard to make sure it stays there. Not all ways happy with there guest but everyone see boxing in different ways, It must take a lot to bring 3 shows from around the world in on one night you cant say last night show was not good value for us boxing fan and i think Gary Newbond did well as he has not done boxing for a while all so Dave Clark is a good front man. In my early days with Lennox we all fear Gary popping up in the ring and firing into us about how the fight went in those days they were aloud in the ring as soon as the bell rung.

I thought newbon held it all together well and great to see him restore order in the studio.

Nelson needs to be pulled aside and taught to be more proffesional and let others talk. He interrupted barker a half a dozen times or talked over him. Also he had his random outbursts of rabid growling right in darrens earhole at 3am a few times and darren was visibally distrubed. Wouldnt suprise me if dazz had a busted eardrum from all of nelsons shouting and growling.

Jim watt was excellent apart from his giving two johnson rounds in the middle to froch.

The problem with bunce is he started all the shouting and unproffesional mateness in boxing studios and sky tried to copy it and the so called energy of the overrated bunce boxing hour and its all gone pear shaped when u have johhny nelson making an arse of himself and poor barry mcguigan going over the top calling a domestic level guy frampton the "best prospect in 30 years"........

For the record bunce was great on fightnight in the old setanta days but only if he was on his own with the stan laurel like andy kerr by fatty arbuckle hardy bunces side.

Personally I think it's ok for any Sky customer to praise or criticise as they see fit. Sky are not doing us a favour, we are paying them for a service - no service, no payment, it's that easy. I estimate that I've paid around 10 grand into Sky's bank account over the last 20 years, many posters will have done similar, so we've more than earned the right to comment on the service. Plus, to the credit of the Smith Regime, they listen to the feedback and often act upon it. For instance, there was criticism of the U.S. road trip as a waste of money, similarly the 9 or 10 man commentary teams Sky used earlier this year, and of Khan-McCloskey as a PPV fight and Sky stopped doing all three, which is excellent.
I think the relationship between Sky boxing and its subscribers is healthy and productive for all concerned. Most companies have to pay for public research but not only does Sky boxing get theirs free, we're actually paying them!

Nelson has been slipping for a while now. He really exposed himself as a DeGale fanboy during the build up and also on the night, constantly interrupting McGuigan while Barry was trying to get his point across.

When he's on Ringside he's embarrassing, he's as stiff as a board on camera and simply isn't a good presenter.

Overall I think Sky's coverage is good, and they're starting to show more fights from overseas (e.g. I don't think they'd have shown the Kessler fight a year ago) which is great.

Would like to see a broader range of studio guests, e.g. some non-british fighters, or some trainers/promoters/boxing journalists.

But one thing that REALLY annoyed me this morning was when they cut it off during the post-fight interviews. I wanted to see what Andre Ward had to say, they could have set the ball rolling nicely for the promotion of that fight.

Say what you like about last night's anchor man - but I felt he was that wooden I would get splinters from him.

Quite a few awkward silences as it cut back to him.

On a seperate note, I thought Adam Smith & Richie Woodhall did better on Kessler, that Railings and Mega Watt.

Kessler was part of the Showtime package so Sky probably picked up the whole thing. I think Smith and Woodhall commentated from the studio in London, wouldn't be surprising as Smith's missus gave birth last week. Was impressed by Kessler by the way. Outgunned opponent notwithstanding, thought Kessler looked very strong and purposeful

Yeah I was impressed with Kessler too.

I think he's been working on his left hook a fair bit, he was using it far more often than I've seen him use it.... pretty much ever.
