Re: Kell Brook - fantastic pundit

Thought Kell was an excellent pundit gave honest opinions and had good knowledge on each fighter, hope he does somemore in the future
I was there last night and asked for a photo with Brook and Nelson and they both just ignored me. Take your heads out your arse you stupid p****s!TheCobra wrote:I do like the guy, I always thinks he gives a good account of himself when he's punditing or giving his opinion ringside.

I have personally seen Nelson pose for literally hundreds of photos. When the Sky broadcast has finished he usually comes ringside to see old friends and is very approachable. Admittedly, that was in Huddersfield, Doncaster and Sheffield though! He may have something against non-Yorkshiremen!mbudgen wrote:I was there last night and asked for a photo with Brook and Nelson and they both just ignored me. Johnny Nelson licks anybody's arse, Kell Brook didnt do a bad job last night he obviously just thinks he's a very special man!

I thought the commentary in the El Maachi Lynes semi was awful also.wrimc wrote:My personal feelings were that the commentary was appalling last night and in particular for the Lynes El Maachi semi final. It was obvious that they wanted the Lynes Witter final as they were talking up Lynes like it was a foregone conclusion that he had gone through by the 3rd round McCrory saying he was putting on a "masterclass". In reality it was a very close fight but they barely made the effort to mention any of El Maachi's work which imo was better.
When the result was announced it was all of a sudden a massive shock bit of a robbery etc but really the fight was very close and I thought El Maachi landed the cleaner harder blows.

could be labrythitis.....or something similar that affects the semi circular canals. no way Junior has an infection as you would feel ill, but i do feel that the sun is setting on a decent career. time to 'hang em up' son.mugabi wrote:brook has the good looks of an indian west indian heritage aka coolie blood did very well. nice idea pairing him with johhny nelson for their mate junier witters night of supposed redemption.
nelson did well today. his fundamental decency was betrayed by his eyes after witter lost to el maachi he sensed it was the end of the road for his mate who was in fantastic condition but just seems to have lost his power, chin and stamina. his legs just turn to jelly. el maachi threw him 15 feet out of the ring and in that fight he lost up in canada e fell to the floor about 15 times and almost got disqualified.
junier needs to see a specialist i sincerely beleive he has some kind of ear imbalance causing him to lose balance and dulling his reflexes. i dont know the medical term but i know a world class mma fighter had this problem and it stalled his career.
It is genuinely hard to like Witter. His personality is not easy to fathomn. Is he actually as arsey as he comes across or just an act? I bet Ed Robinson wanted to punch him in the mush during some of those interviews.LeedsLad wrote:Nelson has been poor lately, I used to like him though.
Witter is one of those annoying characters, the sort that look down their nose at others and just need a good kicking![]()
I don't have a problem with Sky changing the pundits all the time, I think it's good to have a potential future opponent of one of the main event fighters in the studio or at Ringside on the mic - as Ward was at the weekend.
The changes that most people want Sky to make are merely cosmetic and wouldn't take much implementing at all, might even save money.
He's a very nice chap - a bit shy, believe it or not and perhaps that comes across the wrong way.forcefraser wrote:

I was at the weigh in and he just kept himself to himself and didn't really talk to anyone. The complete opposite to what I was expecting from him. I think he still wants to live on the image of his world title reign, but that is way behind him now and he has to concentrate on maybe getting a shot at a British title and going from there.forcefraser wrote:It is genuinely hard to like Witter. I am from Yorkshire and the accents are nothing like each other as you say.bigB wrote:Well Kell is from Sheffield and Leigh Francis from Leeds so accent will be similar to someone not from Yorkshire :)
