Eric, we don't just "rag" on Roy for fighting stiffs... we rag on him for fighting stiffs and NOT fighting the best guys available. Foster beat all the best guys available at his own weight (bums or not), and beat all possible claimants to his title - lineal or otherwise. And when he ran out of meaningful fights at his own weight, he went after bigger guys, and fought some real good ones there. Who can you accuse Foster of ducking?
Not like Roy, who scammed his way to some titles, then blatantly ducked the real champion, and then spent about 8 years avoiding big fights altogether, at light-heavy or any other weight. Nice to see he's been stepping up his level of comp lately, but that 8 year stretch will not be easy to forget...
