Derry Matthews.
Derry has beaten top quality domestic/Euro operators but doesn't get the recognition because he didn't fight for the British and suffered that terrible run of losses. He beat Simpson, Foster Jr and Matthew Marsh all top quality domestic operators in succession. He has avenged two of his defeats and gave Lindsay a good scrap until that punch. Would like to see him back at the mix at the top end of the domestic scale fighting for British titles.

Derry Matthews hasnt got a good enough chin, good boxer but poor chin.
Nigel Wright is a cracking boxer to be fair and deserves to be at a higher level than the English belt he holds, would love to see him fight Funtime or Place in the next 12 months.

i think he's a hot up and comer rather than someone under rated. He just got a shot (and won) the lonsdale and is raked number 1 in britain and has only just recently got good.

dewipowell wrote:Joe Murray (probably because he hasn't had the TV exposure of the other Olympians) is a good shout. Every time I've seen him in person or on TV I thought he was class.
He needs to step up he looks class against journeyman which he should be putting away but lacks power and he is not a puncher

Actually if he was still active, my number one under rated UK fighter would have to be Matt Marsh - I thought he was a class operator and was gutted when I heard he had retired.
