Even accepting Mendy's limitations, that was an impressive performance by Bute - lovely shot selection, especially the uppercut, and a great finish.

Good fighter Bute no doubt, but on the face of it's he's avoided all the big guns in his division, and there's a lot of them too.

Did anyone notice they literally pressed pause on the tape when Buffer got drowned out ?

Lucian executed a perfect exhibition, but JP Mendy had no right to challenge for a title. He was utterly demolished by Bika in a round and unfortunately Bika continued to chuck leather once he'd hit the deck and got DQ'd.

I grew tired of waiting for an opponent for Bute in 2007. Here we are 4+ years later asking the same question.
