That's some gentle comedy.

It won't happen, but I'm hoping for a Curtis KO.

The odds for this are something like 80/1-on for a 'prik' win.

Groves an Curtis are completely different pedigrees an I ent lost since 2006 fairly was 2005 I don't mind what use think of me I train hard an hope to continue winning I am one hundred per cent sure my winning streak won't come to an end against Curtis yes his got guts can punch a little an is quite fit at his own pace it won't be at his pace an next week maybe some of use might say well done because if Curtis did beat me I would be first to congratulate him an then don't know where I would be but that's y I train so hard to make sure I won't get beat

It often gets overlooked. George was an outstanding am. Just because he didnt win The Olympic gold does not mean he never acheived anything. I like Curtis, but the comparisons with him and Groves are very wrong.

It's hard to see past an easy Gavin win. I'd imagine this will continue until he meets someone who can walk through his punches, and place considerable constant pressure. Hopefully then the world class skills will be apparent.

Frankie no offence but please try and use a little punctuation, it makes long paragraphs impossible to read.

Good luck to both fighters!

I may not have made myself clear. I wasn't comparing Curtis to Groves just using Groves as reference to what Curtis needs to do to maximise his chances in my opinion

A come forward orthodox fighter is bread and butter for a southpaw counter puncher( especially considering Frankie's pedigree) and I do not believe Curtis natural style can prevail here.

Likewise if Groves had thought Degale as he thought his previous 12 other opponents he would have got splattered (imo). He showed us a different string to his bow and Curtis needs to do the same

That's all I was saying

I understand what you are saying even if some of the others don't, Curtis needs to do something different, like Groves did, suprise everyone, but in reality he will have to walk through Gavins punches, put on massive pressure and hope he lands big punches, will he be big enough or hit hard enough to do it ? Will he have enough fitnes to set a faster pace then ever before in his career ? Are we clutching at straws ?

If Frankie is touching world class, can we all start slating him for fighting domestic level fighters?

For the record, I think this is a good piece of matchmaking between a decent domestic fighter and a youg guy who might become something special. I think Curtis will have some moments, but Frankie will pick up a comfortable points win. Looking forwards to next Saturday!

Didn't Curtis start the initial disrespecting by the way he called out Gavin ringside at another fight?

Am I mistaken or are people forgetting this?

Surely he can lose 3lbs by next saturday? Or is it a bit more than 3lbs he has to lose? Not fair IMO.

dont go making excuses already curtis, ok hes coming in 3 pound over what was agreed, but its 3 pound for god sake. it might make a slight difference if it goes the whole 12 and hes leaning on you all through the fight but lets be honest here mate. you wont lay a glove on him you wont win a single round and youl be made to look like a novice.

so to sum up if you go the full 12 rounds and frankie wins by a point or 2 then i will come back on here and say what a close fight that was, maybe if you would have fought 3 pound lighter you may have got it, but iv got a feeling il be coming on here saying i hate to say i told you so but that was a case of boy v man, lets see if im right :TU:

Why agree 10.4 then change the deal a week before the fight? So, Gavin will be all over Curtis, but only at welter, which isn't Woodhouse's weight.

Has Gavin ever made light welter anyway? This weight bargaining bollocks pisses me off in boxing. It's totally unprofessional to change the weight a week before the fight.

Frankie is a top fighter and Curtis has landed a real chance to make a name for himself.

Is Frankie a light welter or a full welter now?

On records and pedigree Frankie doesn't need a helping hand; I've no axe to grind but a fair bout needs them both at a weight they can fight at.

what a load of old bollox

the man's starved himself to make a contracted weight of 4 lbs over his fight weight (fair do's if that was necessary to make the match-up, a little give and take etc) but then to get told after a couple of months at 5 minutes notice to concede 3 more is HIGHLY unprofessional.
"3 lbs" don't make any difference in boxing? what a load of tosh. Why not do away with scales altogether in that case and just throw two lads in a ring that look similar sized.

It's completely unsurprising that somebody that spouted the above should then go on to say..."you're gonna get slapped around the ring like a boy....."

almost as much fcking DRIVEL as what Jim McDonnell and that fat, puffy, pale faced old fart were coming out with in Mr Groves' direction.

Curtis - you should get at least a couple of grand per lb more in your purse for that.
