Both sides could make strong points as to whether why it should or should not have happened. I think it was a legit DQ but I completely understand the sentiments of those who don't agree with it. I agree. First fight with Griffin* was clearly his toughest fight pre-Tarver. Griffin gave him significant troubles before Roy finally started taking over, only to get DQ'd. Its funny: Roy at his physical best was often criticized for not taking enough risky fights. Yet now that he is a shot fighter he has suddenly become quite stubbornly and foolishly risk-taking in his decision making. Shame he did not manage his career a bit differently before and after Tarver.
