Well here goes. I am now 22, ish anyway and I am feeling great! I am training but not fully yet. I would love to fight again and hopefully I will. Right now I am just trying to sort out the licence, its taking time and not even a guarentee! We'll see what happens! I will keep you posted. For the record I have never even fought David Starie although we have sparred! Any questions feel free to ask! Take care guys
Gary besides nathan cleverly the lightheavyweight division is weak, so there is no reason why you cant challege for titles, how old are you gary? and what trainer r you with?
Hey I'm a very young and fresh 36! If I am honest without sounding to boastful, I believe I could beat any Light Heavy in this country! Ya gotta have self belief! Maybe my aspirations are out weighing my capabilities but only if I get in the ring will we know!
When are you likely to find out if you can get a Pro licence or not??

I remember Gary Mayor when I was coming through the amateurs, he was about three years older than me so with me being 34 now, I'm sure you guys can do the math. Gary was one of the very few people to win the Junior ABA's three times (as the ages changed, there were kids that entered for a third time) and from what I can remember, he was a very talented kid who beat some good names who went on to be decent pro's. Can't remember hearing much about him after his third Junior ABA title win as he disappeared for one reason or the other. Gary, good luck in your 'new' career pal, I'll be hoping you do the biz! Hiya Gary, I've never sparred Froch but sparred a lot of people around the Liverpool, Manchester, South Wales area including Cleverly, Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Mac, Jamie Moore, Rob Reid, Michael Jennings, David Barnes, Wayne Elcock, Paul Samuels, Bradley Pryce, Dean Francis, James Hare to name a few but thats just off the top of my head as there are many, many more. All good fighters in their own way, some better than others and all of them a very good experience!

im sure hes well aware people will know about it and info in some peoples hands can be ok but not everyones , hence why its a bit distasteful to put it on public view .
Maybe the posts will be deleted anyway , but if not then for the record he now comes across as an intelligent well spoken man , i only know brief details and im not about to ask about it , ill happilly listen to his boxing views instead , as posters on here should be , its a boxing forum not a format for speculative issues on peoples private lifes

Listen BellEnd I knew Gary before you were a seed in your dads bollocks,it was all over the news and in the public domain at the time of the event so hardly private and just because previous posts state its a private matter that makes it private does it?
Its going to come out sooner or later so if DH1 and Kammie fancy themselves as PR Gurus learn to deal with the sh*t when it hits the fan,its a shame because Gary was a very talented boxer and also a friend of Herol Graham but I doubt the board will grant him a license.Terry Dunstan ,Larry O and Richard Towers all found it extremely difficult to get a license after committing armed robbery and kidnap between them,so do the Math.

i doubt you knew him before i was a seed mate , hes only a touch older than me

, so what how long youve known him anyway , he did say he wanted it to be private so in my view BLATANTLY doing the opposite on this thread is a bit desrespectful , do you not agree ?

Why is it disrespectful, thats what he did,he did his time,he has already been judged once end of, like I said people make mistakes, coming on here in a shroud of mystery only creates suspicion ,like he has something to hide!
I think he would have created more interest by introducing himself to the board, stating his boxing achievements ,where it all went wrong, how he hopes to make amends and start/advance his career etc and I am sure the feedback would be 100 per cent positive.
Now its out in the open it ends the speculation

From the times I've met Gary he does not seem to be someone who would do that at present. He made a mistake, and turned his life around. As much as he should and has been criticised for what he did, he should be commended for how he has turned it around.
