The way he basically shut out David Tua, all be it boring, was impressive.

Greatest statement win would have to be him laying out Rahman in the rematch. Poor Rahman has been on the losing end of some the of the most memorable losses ever.

The watermelon growing on his head from Holyfield (Holyfield's head).
Maskaev putting him in press row.
Lewis laying him completely flat with the crown perfectly placed above his head. It was so perfect it was as if it was planned.

I liked the moment when Sanders clobbered Rock-head off his feet, & as Rahman's bloated gut hung over the ropes, he tried to claim it wasn't a knockdown. LOL. You just got crunched, you fat, lazy slob of a fighter.

And then he took that Golfer to task. Rock had a load of heart.

Not enough to get his ass to the gym with multiple millions of dollars, & his & his family's livelihood at stake, however.

Shoulda kept to swimming, Rock-head. One of the worst true, legit Heavyweight champs to ever draw breath. In the discount bin with Spinks, Briggs, Hart, & Carnera, surely.

Your disdain for him makes me laugh. He wasn't anything special, but he was better than you give him credit for. As for being a fat heavyweight, that is far from a criminal offense.

Aside from a pretty good jab & a fairly heavy right hand (not the bomb Lewis die-hards desperately make it out to be), he was useless, Saad. Utterly terrible as a boxer.

Like I said, he was better than you give him credit for. Which isn't saying much.

Fair enough if that's what you think. Tell me, though --- just to satisfy my curiosity as to your viewpoint --- what did I miss from those two qualities I mentioned?

Nothing really, other than a ton of heart. I don't disagree with that. Calling him utterly terrible is what I find to be drastically pushing the envelope. He beat Lewis, Sanders & in reality he beat Tua twice. That's not bad for a guy with a handful of amateur fights straight off the streets. He had some talent all things considered.

We all have guys that we simply don't like. He is one of yours. I've met him several times and he is a genuinely nice dude. I'm not going to call him more than he was, but he deserves better than utterly terrible. That's Tyson Fury.

I will give you that bunny hopping in the Lewis rematch was the most retarded footwork I've ever seen.

P.S. Lennox Lewis is a S-HW and should not be rated among true HWs, especially the greats!

The only reason that Lennox Lewis is lauded as an top 10 ATG heavyweight is because he isn't American and Americans can't stand anyone else being successful.

The same posters on here who criticise his record will sing the praises of the Bowes and Holyfields of this world from the hilltops. Lewis' record at heavyweight easily surpasses either of those fighters.

Considering how action-packed the fight was and what he's done since I'd put his fight with Vitali among his best. Lewis rarely faced that kind of really threatening adversity. Most of his opponents were clearly overmatched by his size and style. Klitschko was right there in front of him bringing the heat and taking some of Lewis' nastiest stuff as well.

On the dominant side Lewis' demolitions of Grant, Golota, and Rahman in the rematch are pretty good surveys of his offensive talent.

All pretty mediocre opposition though, WEAPON. Hes certainly not the only great HW in that boat, but I do feel the current division is leaving him with a better-than-deserved legacy.

Im seeing him more & more in peoples' top-5 of all-time, & that just isnt on.

Would any TRUE top 10 HW find a way to get KO'd by Rahman? Not that Rahman doesn't have the power, but I can't see a truly great HW being beaten by him.

His best fight was Holyfield 1. Though watching McCall cry might have been the most entertaining moment...that coupled with Rahman appearing to wear that advertizement on his head when Lummox KO'd him in their second encounter.

Evander also beat Bowe, a better Tyson, Dokes, Foreman & Holmes. Lennox wasn't dominant enough to avoid Mccall & Rahman. I think they are pretty closely grouped. Evander has the better resume and Lennox beat him head to head and everyone that would fight him. The easily part is what I was laughing at.

Closely grouped, I agree. I would rate Lewis ahead at heavyweight but Holyfield was much more exiting to watch and was in better fights.

Too bad to. You have to admit when he KO'd Lewis that was a hell of an exciting moment. Unfortunately for him it was literally his only moment. No wonder he he did everything in his power, including a lawsuit, to get out of the rematch so he could fight Tyson instead. Still wonder how that one would have went...

Maybe the Ruddock fight. He had several others that were close.
That really opened some eyes. Hard to say about the first hoylfield fight; Holyfield ws way past it but Lewis performed well.

Would any TRUE top 10 HW find a way to lose over 15 rounds to Leon Spinks?

Sometimes it just happens. Granted Ali was old and fat but as we know, Lewis wasn't fully prepared for Rahman 1 either.
