Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
I think Fury. I wouldn't back Audley against anyone other than mediocre domestic fighters.
Forget this fight, get Price - Fury made instead.
I like Fury, hard not to. He is a good talker and not so deep down you can see he is a good lad. He has balls and is tough. His problem is his complete lack of power. To say he arm punches is being kind, he sort of flicks his punches out. That can only get him so far I'm afraid. I think Price will be too good for him. Looking forward to it.

Tend to agree with this.yiddo14 wrote:I think Fury. I wouldn't back Audley against anyone other than mediocre domestic fighters.

Fury has balls the size of the moon & a heart to match, but his almost total lack of power is alarming.
OK, as Wille Pep & Pernell Whittaker proved in the lower weights, you can get by without power, but in Fury's case, he isn't the nimble defensive geniuses that they were.
I think Fury would benefit greatly from working with Emmanuel Steward, as Steward would certainly improve his technique & get him punching harder.

Harrison would burst into tears & jump out of the ring crying for his mother.
Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
Fury's workrate would be too much for a near 40-year old Harrison, and in any case Harrison's defence of standing just out of range with his earmuffs on is never going to work against a combination puncher with height and reach on him
Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
Fury easily.
Harrison is a complete and utter joke as a professional fighter.

Good fight for both guys if it is made. Whether the board would allow it I'm not sure. Audley seems to think he can sit back and be given a shot at the title, ok he knocked Sprott out before fighting Haye but that's a long time ago now.

I was quite impressed with Fury and I think based on last nights performance he is good enough for European. However I dont want to see another British fighter lose badly against a Klitscho and that I think would happen if they met. Chisora decribed Fury as a poor mans Klitscho, a tall guy with a long jab, but not in the same class.Camcas wrote:He wont get past British levelkeithmoonhangover wrote:Looks like I'll be in the minority when they fight. This is a joke, right? If its not and your a little deluded you do need a bit more than 'guts'. No disrespect to Fury but no way has he the ability to cut it at world level.keithmoonhangover wrote:He'll be in the top ten in the world by tomorrow. He's going all the way mate. I've said since I started in these boards that Fury will be a world champion. That's opinion.Des1 wrote:This is a joke, right? If its not and your a little deluded you do need a bit more than 'guts'. He is #9 in the world according to BoxRec. That's fact.
Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
Fury would have beat Harrison before his win of Chisora, based on past performances. Nothing has changed.
As for winning a World title.......not convinced. I don't think he beats Price, for example, let alone either Wlad or Vitali.

Keith, all for positivity mate but wouldn't pay too much attention to boxrec rankings. Hugely flawed

Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
They're not hugely flawed. Partially flawed, yes, but not hugely. For the most part, they're a very good indicator. You can trace Fury's huge points boost back to when Rogan upset Skelton, and even further back it actually came from when Danny Williams beat Tyson. The problem is that the points did not decrease enough in the transitions.yiddo14 wrote:Keith, all for positivity mate but wouldn't pay too much attention to boxrec rankings. Hugely flawed

I'm not much of a fan of Fury but then I've been guilty of making fun of Audrey Harrison for ages..!
I'd be tempted to put my money on A-Farce though, unless Fury keeps his hands up and pulls his shots back to his chin on a consistent basis, the Fraudster could well KO him with one of his left smash desperation shots.
At this juncture - Harrison.

Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
The question is.what round would harrison attempt a engage?
fury stops him in 4.combos from fury would put audley in a shell and ref would jump in.
everyone must remember that harrison is punch shy.

You would put money on A-Force??!!! You must be nearly as mental and deluded as Audley himself to put any money on that bottler.Ally-M1 wrote:I'm not much of a fan of Fury but then I've been guilty of making fun of Audrey Harrison for ages..!

He's Commonwealth champion, which by definition already puts him past British level.Camcas wrote:He wont get past British levelkeithmoonhangover wrote:Looks like I'll be in the minority when they fight. I'll be right then, just like I was tonight. Fury is going all the way.

Fury beats Harrison, as he is more willing to let his hands go than Harrison he has got the quicker hands and swtiches between head and body effectively and would break Harrison down and stop him in the later rounds.

Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
Guts is a f**king good start. If he keeps improving, and invests in quality sparring, I see no reason why he can't get a strap post-Klitschko. His promoter has pretty much got his undivided attention at the moment as well.Des1 wrote:This is a joke, right? If its not and your a little deluded you do need a bit more than 'guts'. Part of me thinks he needs to get a new trainer - no disrespect to Hughie, who has done a great job so far, and was spot on in the Chisora fight), but experience counts at world level. Part of me thinks he wouldn't listen properly to anyone else apart from Hughie, and why change when he's undefeated?

Well he'd better fight someone else in the interim. The longer he waits, the less green (and thus less vulnerable) Fury will become, and the longer Harrison is inactive, the less effective he will become.Final round wrote:Audley says he'll take the fight next year..

I think Price vs Fury is a pretty close fight. Fury got a good chin, could the same be said about Price? Who knows?josco wrote:Does anyone really care? Pricey would moider both!

Re: Fury - Harrison.....Who Wins?
Fury is poor, but Audley is poor and a coward
Harrison would probably lose a decision in a sloppy fight...
He would make it to the final bell because Fury doesn't have big power.
Price stops them both

For some reason I think Audley would beat him.
