I don't mind Jim so much, but the quieter commentary tonight was great. My main criticism of Rawling is that he talks more about what could happen than what actually is. You get the feeling, Duke... No, John, I don't get the feeling that this is about to explode into Hagler-Hearns. I get the feeling I'm watching a couple of fellas wrangling an imaginary Shetland.

Not tonight, I mean, but in general. The old Duke 'n' John heavyweight classics.

What does everyone think of Channel 5's coverage of Fury -v- Chisora?

It was great to see big time boxing back on terrestrial TV in the UK.

It was as if we had been transported back to the early 1990s or late 1980s, when us Brits were able to watch such things without paying through the nose for it.

I thought Channel 5 did a decent job & their decision to hire the excellent Al Bernstein was an inspired one.

It shows that someone at Channel 5 has a bit of nous.

Lets hope thet they take up some more big fights in the future. 8)

The UK commentator wasn't to my taste but Burnstein is and always has been a class act.

I thought it was ok. Bernstein said on a few occasions neither had been by 9 rounds even though Fury's done 10. But that aside not bad. Raging they didnt show the Cook fight.

What was going on with the ring announcer ?
Like a poor man's Mike Yarwood trying to do an American accent - and what was the French about ?
I think the show needed a expert analyser.
Then again - why the f**k am I saying anything negative.

Excellent, I really hope they got good numbers for this to encourage them to do more. Would have liked to have seen the Theoplane-Cook fight though.

I thought it was very good. Bernstien was fantastic, I mean, we all make the odd error. On the whole VERY good and I'd love to know what the ratings wer compared to a Sky saturday night fight.

It was good to see it in HD and on terrestial.

The fight was entertaining.

The commentary team of Bernstein made a very refreshing change for me!

For their first toe in the water, it was pretty good. Perhaps a few more graphics and fillers and it would be the complete article.

I did notice it lacked link music, they often showed a silent hall, instead of music/commentary/clips to create atmosphere. But thats about the only weakness I spotted.

Overall glad to see it happen.

I thought they did a decent job considering it was a first go, not bad at all. Boxing for free on terrestrial TV can only be a good thing and last night I thought C5 did a nice job

My only constructive criticism would have been that they need at least a two hour show. Bit of build up, show the fight, then best of the undercard.

But it was nice to see boxing presented in an uncomplicated manner again for a change sand I hope the ratings were good for them

I enjoyed it last night (the 3 bottles of wine might have also helped) and also liked that they continued the fight theme with the UFC on straight afterwards.

I've emailed 5 to give some positive feedback in the hope that they continue with it. Email is [email protected] if anyone else wants to push it further

Enjoyed the broadcast, better than ITVs and Setantas first attempts IMO

Getting Al Bernstein in was a smart move imo

Thoroughly enjoyed C5's show.
Just proves that there is no need to have a panel waffling on for most of the programme.
The only problem with C5 is that I never know when anything is on so some more advertising would be useful for their figures.

Thoroughly enjoyed, I hope its not a one off. Bernstein is exceptional.... can do all roles on air. I think he is best as the main commentator and at times it seemed like we had two commentators. I would have loved to have seen Bernstein with a Watt or McGuigan.... Mark Pugatch was good also though.

Criticms was that the show was too short and could have shown the Theophane vs Cook fight. Lets hope Five will show it at a later date.

i enjoyed it, always enjoy any boxing on tv..regardless of what channel etc

I agree with this..... although I think this show did miss that analysis of fighters that Jim Watt brings in.... Bernstein is exceptional and Pugatch pleasantly surprised me.... but for me both were calling the action as opposed to analysing.... calling it very well, but both doing the same job. Would love to see Bernstein with Watt. I've heard Bernstein with McGuigan and it was fantastic.

If this is their starting point, and they are going to get better, then I think they did an exceptional job. Bernstein was a revellation, knowledgable, affable, witty, but without dominating proceedings.

There were some nice touches, especially with the Fury v Chisora build up, with the graphics on previous champions.

I was impressed, and to reiterate, so nice to have boxing back on Channel 5.

I also liked the fact it was followed by UFC, the Lidell v Silva fight was awesome, as was the St Pierre fight.

the French was because it was being shown in Canada
woudl be great to see the undercard (which was pretty strong)
