The result of the first fight was a disgrace, there shouldn't have been a need for a re-match.

I like John, out of the 4 heavyweights Maloney had John was the only one that wasn't hyped ? And yet he was the best by a long way - why was that ?

Unfortunately for John anyone with half a brain would realize that now Fury has experience and has sorted his fitness and conditioning out he would make very easy work of John.

It was a disgrace, I had Mcdermott winning by 6 rounds. Didn't Fury get the result by about 6 rounds in the end? I think that constitutes a disgrace.

We shall wait and see. I'm confident that Price is going a lot further than Fury. I mean, come on, Chisora did nothing for most of the fight, he spent large portions covering up in the corner due to exhaustion, and looked totally disintereted, and Fury never even came close to stopping him. Price would have bombed him out of there no trouble. Price's power is no joke, and he delivers technically correct shots. He also has a tight defence, something Fury lacks. Price beat him in the amateurs, and has improved exponentially since then. Fury is a likeable guy, and he's a real fighting man, but technicall he is very poor.

Yup i agree, the first fight was a disgrace. Fury LOST that fight, the fact that O'Connel gave him the fight does not mean he 'won' the fight. Not even something to debate and Big Laryy O was not with Maloney either, McDermott was.

Mr Cucumber, a dose of reality, maybe is required?

Price is more than a match for Fury.

I agree Fury clearly lost the first McDermott fight. He does appear to have got his act together more since then though, especially in terms of his fitness/conditioning. I think if Fury genuinely wants to have a chance of beating the best out there then he should go with one of the bigger trainers.

Fury-Price is an excellent fight. I would personally favour Price but too much is being made of his power as Fury's best asset is his chin. Forget the ams, Fury is only 22 now so must have been about 17 at the time and having his first season in the seniors, Price was already a seasoned international. Anyone can see Fury has only taken the game really seriously in the last 6 months. Faced with a challenge like Price, i think he would get in even better shape. I think Fury has a mentality that he would rather die than lose.

James is right. Price would make easy work of John McDermott and the Chisora we saw on Saturday night. I really think Price could be going places - 6"8 and he can box!!

It was a brilliant evening for British boxing. Full marks to Hennessy Sports for bringing an entertaining British heavyweight title fight back to the masses. If Channel 5 stick with Fury and Hennessy, Tyson will soon become a very well know sporting figure.

I hope Maloney and Price are as brave when the time comes to sign on the dotted line becuase so far Price has done very little to prove he's going to make a spash in the heavyweight division. Time will tell, but IMO there is a fragility about Price which will fall apart again and I'm pretty sure Fury will be the man to burst his bubble.

Fury's a good talent and I think he's going to go full steam ahead to winning a Lonsdale belt for keeps, regardless who's put in his path. Rogan will fall, Towers probably won't answer the call, Price will crumble and McDermott will get a third beating if he's still around.
