Has this occurred before? Was not a technical decision as far as I'm aware as boxrec had it scheduled for 11!

I know the contender had 5 and 7 round fights and obviously prizefighter has 3 round bouts.
Wasn't he the guy who ran over Bitzy in The Sopranos.

Just looked it up and you are indeed right, at least as far as Boxrec has it. I can't remember any mention of it at the time, though, unlike Paz-Sherry which I remember well (the write-up, not the fight itself).
