Kate Hoey was an international athlete (Ireland). I'm not sure but didn't she get the chop in the last cabinet re-shuffle.

People that get my utmost respect, this might sound cheesy but the doctors who helped the likes of Spencer Oliver lead a full life.

Actual boxing figure, for me its Kurt Ermhoff, this is littered with bias cause he post on another boxing forum where I go. But he's brutally honest about his guys and will do more than his jobs worth to help his fighters. He's been beggin Terron Millet to retire for a few fights now, he's finally listened. Alot of managers, who knew his fighter is shot, would have brushed their hands. He was very upset when he got that Stewart fella (Terron's last opponent) all wrong, he said (before the fight) he didn't think Stewart would have the power to hurt Millett, he got it wrong - and he was upset, cause he knew Terron's punch resitance was shot.

He's even helping Millett out with his life out of boxing, he's involved with purchasing houses and getting him started with a business. Millett has still done very well.

An all round good bloke, and I was delighted with his double sucess on the Hopkins vs Joppy bill.

Kate Hoey recently attended a Fitzroy Lodge show in Blackfriars and wrote a positive piece for the Telegraph high-lighting the beneficial aspects of boxing for the youth of today.

What Stu says is interesting, the doctors who performed surgery and then physio on the likes of Oliver, Watson and Mclellan deserve all our respect. It must go against their ethics seeing these young men wheeled in having almost voluntarily subjected themselves to these injuries but you don't hear them complain or criticise the sport.

The Boxing man i respect the most is Muhammad Ali

One of the fighters I most admire for his tremendous will is Wayne McCullough. One of the trainers I most admire is John Breen, his passion for the sport and his own fighters is fantastic, you can really tell how much he is into it once you get to know him.

So why very little financial support from her aand her Tony Cronies?

Hoey did indeed get the chop in the cabinet reshuffle.

1. The Sports Cabinet consists of the Sports Ministers from the Home Countries (Kate Hoey - England, Sam Galbraith MSP - Scotland, Jenny Randerson AM - Wales and Michael McGimpsey MLA - N Ireland), chaired by Chris Smith.

2. The UK World Class Performance Plan is financed by the Lottery Sports Fund and run by UK Sport. The Programme targets Lottery funding at the UK's top sportsmen and women to help them achieve success in top international competitions. Funding is made up in two parts: programme funding awarded to governing bodies administered at a GB or UK level to support services to athletes; and athlete personal awards to support living costs and certain sporting costs.

3. The home Country Sports Councils also award Lottery money to home based sports through their own individual programmes (ie England's World Class Performance, Start and Potential Programmes, Wale's Elite Cymru, and Scotland's and Northern Ireland's talented Athlete Programmes.)

when sam soliman came over here to fight he had problems with his visa but Kate Hoey was extremely helpful and sorted his problems out!!!
