All in all I spent the best part of 1500 quid going to watch that shower of shit against wlad, he didn't give his all, he didn't put his neck on the line for the thousands that spent they're hard earned money to inflate his pay. He didn't apologise for his shit performance just made a lame excuse and picked up his purse. I thought haye was concerned about his legacy before the fight but all he wanted to do when he realised he wasn't good enough was stay the distance, now this totally delusional crap he's spouting is just embarrassing. Hope vitali does give him a shot and totally embarrasses him by taking him out early. He's a tool.

They just jab you into concussion, they don't throw bombs like Haye, therefore Haye has more 1 punch KO power IMO. The Klits are still better than him though, just they don't KO people much smaller than them with 1 punch, this is a fact. It is always a sustained beating.

So Helenius, Adamek, Povetkin beat Haye then?

Where's the proof of that at heavyweight? Haye definitely has power, but I don't see 1 punch KO power at this weight.

I agree, and Haye's power is not his only attribute that has been unduly aggrandized: his performances at HW suggest that he does not possess many of the amazing gifts that his supporters claim he does. Haye has fought two top ten opponents as a HW; in his winning effort he was pushed close, in his losing effort he was nearly shutout on the cards, and both times he looked very poor. Yet somehow many people presuppose--despite these and other results to the contrary—that he is leagues above anyone not named Klitschko.

I would love to see Haye face a #3-12 fighter like Povetkin, Arreola, Chambers, Adamek, Thompson, Dimitrenko, or Helenius. A bout with one of these fighters would provide a good gauge of where Haye stands vis-à-vis the top contenders, and it would bring many of his disillusioned former supporters back to his bandwagon and help rebuild his reputation among the broader boxing community. Consequently, more excitement would be injected into the notion of a Vitali bout, and all the trash talk would be easier for most people to swallow.

I think in fairness haye needs to make a bit of noise to prove he wants the fight and also make vitali really want the fight.

Once he's got the fight he should turn humble and do his talking in the ring.

Im for one glad to see he actually seems to want to redeem himself and get the fight on! Fair play!

Based on what, he'd destroy arreola? Out of all his fights he's bottled it in 1.

I think you lot are all being a bit hard on Mr Haye.

People are saying that he's only doing it for the money. Isn't it more likely that Haye just thinks he can win?

Personally think he bottled the Valuev fight after all his talk.
Also would probably have fought Harrison the same way (1st 2 rounds) if Harrison had
Shown a bit of agression.

I've never seen Haye 'bail' once. He was still throwing punches when the Thompson fight was stopped and he was still trying to land a big punch in the last round of the Wlad fight.

Haye could do better than he did. Do you not want to see him give it another crack? If he fails to deliver then he knows he will be the new Fraudley forever! He wont want that believe me.

Agreed the only reason for taking this fight will be to prove himself. Win or loose i think he will be putting it on the line and winning back alot of respect / pride.

Nigel1001 wrote:HAYE WILL BAIL!

His little toe took away his game plan.

Booth will pull him out against Vitali.

Is one thing to be throwing back when fighting someone who is 6ft 1 and a cruiserweight.

Its another thing to hang inthere against a 6ft 8 hard hitting mean giy like Vitali who will punish you round after round without you getting a shot in.

Haye will bail!

His toe stopped him against Wlad, he will not like getting whacks from Vitali!

HAYE IS IN IT FOR THE CASH!
Let me get this straight, Haye trained all his life in the knowledge that when he made it to the top that he would fight for the money only.... don't be daft man.
