Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
People shouldnt get carried away with Price KO off Dallas i said months before the fight that hes a accident waiting to happen how he hangs his chin in the air...Yes Fury has faced better opponents, but id back my life savings on him beating Fury..Hope this fight happens, coz i could become well off for me
Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
I have my ticket for Price Mcdermont think Price will win this easliy then beat Fury after that, I like Fury but think Price is the better fighter
Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
And what happens when Fury catches Price clean? it will happen at some point in the fight. Does he have a chin/heart?

I'm intrigued that Price seems to be overlooking McDermott by making this bold statement. I reckon Price might get wobbled once or twice by McD but Price will prevail once he gets his head in gear. Either that, or Price walks staright through McD just like he did Dallas and then it's game on. I know that McD says he trains hard and can never look like an Adonis but then his eating habits must be left somewhat to be desired if he turns up looking like Butterbean. No disrespect intended there, but the proof is in the (plum) pudding. ;;-)

Price is by far the bigger puncher, and has a better defence than Fury - Fury's defence is fairly non existent. He has a good chin, but he was wobbled in his last fight, and I've no doubt that Price can hurt him.Josh1111 wrote:And what happens when Fury catches Price clean? it will happen at some point in the fight. Got to agree with Horse. I like David Price and really want him to go far. He has shown some skills and power in his short carear so far, but needs to step up now in quality of oponents. He has Big John next before he can even think about Tyson and that cannot be taken lightly. But we will see, this is developing nicely.Horse wrote:Fury is far more proven than Price as a professional.jamesmcdonnell wrote:In which department precisely?Horse wrote:He is on a lower level than Fury.
Price has far better developed skills than Fury, and a lot more punch power.
Let's see how Price does against McDermott before hyping him up, because as of now his skills have not been proven against anyone who is up to much.

price will KO fury easyHappy Slapper wrote:Also Dallas took the fight at two days notice.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Id back Price all day over Fury,But Dallas isnt nowhere near as good as Chisora..Id love to see Price-Fury happen this season(i wont hold my breath)Bomber 1 wrote:Dallas is as good as anyone Tyson has fought! I think Price KO's Fury though, and earlier than a lot of people think. I'm not convinced Tyson Fury's chin is as good as it is being made out.

Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
So David Price claims that he is on a different level in comparison to his fellow unbeaten Super-Heavyweight prospect and current British and Commonwealth champ Tyson Fury. But if he wants to believe his claims he has to get past John McDermott in the the final eliminator to challenge Fury, a man who has challenged abet unsuccessfully 3 times for the British title dropping two points decisions against Danny Williams and getting blown out of the water by Matt Skelton. But McDermott has thought some of the best heavyweights on the British scene in Fury, Williams, Skelton, Mark Krence and Scott Gammer. So it is a big step in class in the paid ranks for Price when you look at it.
But it is also important to recognise that McDermott will see this eliminator shot as potentially as his last ever shot at the Lonsdale Belt so he will be extremely motivated for it and I reckon he will give Price a very rough night in front of his home fans. However Price should win it but I think it might be alot closer than some people think it will be.

Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
Fury has fought better opponents, shown more heat, a good chin, good recovery powers and a hell of a lot more ambition.MachoMan09 wrote:Public recognition is the only one I can think of but it's not to be sniffed at. Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
It looks as though quite a few people on here rate Price higher than his own team do - otherwise, what is the reason for his level of opponent and inactivity ? (he has not had a long term injury as far as I am aware).
Part of me thinks that Price's skills would see off Fury, but then another part of me thinks that Price might do an Audley - looks the part, has good technical skills but falls apart when he gets hit.
This is a fight I would like to see though.

Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
I remember watching Price in the Olympics getting completely done by some little Italian guy. So until he steps up takes a few punches then the arguement is completely flawed.
Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
Fury's British and Commonwealth champ and already boxing at international level, so Price is right when he says he's on a different level to Fury...a lower level!
Fury stepped up and has achieved what he has quickly and at a very young age.
Saying Dallas is as good as anyone Tyson Fury has boxed is laughable
Fury easily beat the American guy who got jobbed against Dallas. It's questionable if Dallas could beat 5 or 6 of Fury's victims.
If Fury wasn't around, Price could get away with some of this crap he's talking, but Fury's a British title holder who is craving challengers, so step up and get in the ring with Fury. It's a fight we'd all like to see
(maybe with the exception of Frank Maloney :?? ).

Price does get a lot of love on here, I don't buy into it myself.
I think he's going to get clobbered before he approaches world class.

Im Fury 100% but would love to see Price follow him into European/World Title Challangers, Kind of the De Gale/ Groves thing but without FW backing them.
Time will tell about this Different Level tho, I doubt it
Dallas, War Machine, Sprott, Mcdermott, Skelton if he is still knocking about, and A-Force, makes it a great thing even to be English Champ let alone British with all these guys knocking around plus others.

Apparently his chin isnt that great and tyson can punch when he sets himself right. Its a pick em fight for me! Im not sure Price could have handled Chisora.Power100 wrote:Price is the more technical of the 2.AND THE BIGGER PUNCHER.jamesmcdonnell wrote:In which department precisely?Horse wrote:He is on a lower level than Fury.

Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
No way Tony - Dallas is not on the same level as Chisora, and zack page was clearly robbed even maloney agreed on that. Price looks quality but everyone he's been in the ring with so far has been extremely one dimensional. The Mc D fight will be a great measuring stick.Bomber 1 wrote:Dallas is as good as anyone Tyson has fought! Also the yank he boxed was supposed to be a good kid! Re: David Price "I'm on a different level to Tyson Fury."
Neither are much good to be honest.
Price is a big talker and has a rep on the back of nothing really.
Fury is a ballsy fighter who will have a decent career, if not great.
One previous poster said it, Price could be another Harrison who falls to pieces when he gets hit.
I've heard that he cannot take a shot. which will always be a problem for a young heavyweight who doesnt have the ring savy to let his jab and reach do the talking.
The guy I wanna see fight Fury is Mike Perez. He is a fighter who is very hampered by his nationality. He cannot fight for domestic honours, nor will anyone let their guys anywhere near him.
The funny thing about Perez is that one of his main assets hasn't even been tested yet. His chin. People have yet to see how good it is. And man can he take a shot.
