i was at the fight last night[free tickets] and what ability the man once had isn,t there anymore, his opponent was very ordinary as far as a world? rated fighter goes, the two judges that gave 117-113 card, should be sacked, most of the locals around just shook their heads and walked out before he came out with the crap he spews out, the few flurries mundine threw, bought his crowd to their feet, a close round naturely went to mundine, he did nothing for the first 3 rounds ,the word around the area near me was at the end of the10th mundine had to stop the mex.the way he fought the last two,he knew he was getting the nod,the rest of the night was entertaining,i don,t think belshaw is going to set the fight scene alight, i know his ribs will be nice and sore, dib had a good win, neimann fought an honest fight, his opponent decided he,d had enough at the end of the 5th,tony mundine had a couple of boys on other than his boy, they both won well, all the best

Anthony is now claiming American promoters are blacklisting him because of his mindless comments on the attack on the USA by Muslim extremists in 2001.
Would have been a good idea if he had just said nothing in the first place. Sometimes the best answer to a question is a shake of the head.

Todays paper is saying the US has no problem with him fighting there. Hes been offered a title match 31st Dec on showtime. Lets see if he take it of just make excuses and pulls out. Time to man up Anthony.

Come on Colin. You would not rob him of his persecution complex, would you?

Mundine plays the race and religion cards just to get his name into the media. As Oscar Wilde once said:
Whats worse than being talked about - not being talked about!
Mundine will realise one day in the future as many of us do now that he has sinned against his talent.

Anthony Mundine is a good Aussie fighter but has failed to beat the best. There is no shame in that...but there is shame in hiding from the fact that this is the truth! He's suffered defeats from world class fighters like Ottke, Kessler, Echols (even though he won on decision Im still trying to figure out how), Siaca. In my opinion the only world class fighter he has won agaisnt is Danny Green. If Mundine was humble about the facts above, he would get the respect from the Aussie fans but until then...

From what I remember of that fight is Mundine running and clinching for the last 3 rounds. Also I think in the last round he almost took a knee after having his mouthgard knocked out. Id have to watch it again to be sure but in my opinion i think Echols had that fight.

Austin Trout. I may be mistaken, but I think Showtime is looking to broadcast both fights as a part of a New Year's Eve special.

Not that Echols was the greatest boxer on earth.

Exellent performance By THE MAN

totally out boxed the mexican who looked like he was in slow motion the whole 12 rounds .. About the undercards Bilal Akway wat power in that young kids hands.. awsome knock out.. David Alou lost that fight but being close with mundine camp and khoder culdnt see him loose a close fight..

Yeah thought the Sam v Aloua fight was razor thin, if Sam had more time to train regularly he would of won the fight, IMO Sam is one to watch out for, a real strong effort after 18 months out of the ring. Rounds 1 and 2 and 6 foe Sam the rest for Aloua.
It was a polished performance by Mundine, but it never looked like he had the mexican hurt, could be a problem down the track.

Yeah ur right dawg Sam was abit unfit he is sure a prospect to look out for..I dont think Aston Trout will be following Choc around the ring like a slow mummy like the mexican was. I truely hope that fight happens and mundine goes over to the us and prove himself for once in his life..

You know in 20 years time no one will notice that Anthony's titles were interim. Just look at his record on here. Its a shame really.
Lionel rose 1 title
Fammo 1 title
Curruthers 1 title
Tzu 1 title
Anthony 3 titles

Rose, Carruthers and Tszyu were undisputed champions and Famechon was considered the better of the two featherweight champions at the time (Raul Rojas was the other).
Bit of a difference.

Yes mate, that was the point that i was hamfistedly trying to make. Titles in this day and age do not neccessarily make the man. And in 20 years time mundine will be seen to have been superior to those guys mentioned. Not fair is all im saying. Perhaps i should not mention the bleeding obvious. Thanks for agreeing with me
