Rya showed a lot of promise early on but i think the whole Naz/Spice boy scenario really affected him.

He seems to be more serious now and dedeciated but time will tell.

Goodluck to him.

I realise Keiron knows Ryan and I believe he's alot more down to earth than his old mucker - but Spice Boy has to be the worst nickname ever.

Stu,
Sorry mate, should have made it clear.
On the basis that Eastman was being stripped Rhodes was put forward to fight for the vacant belt, against a Ghanian, I think, but the board would not sanction it, because he wasn't in their top 10 !
Now take a look at their top ten. 8 either can't fight for it cos their spurious World Champs, or have moved weights, and the other 2 aren't interested !!!
The board make me puke.
As for Spice Boy, he ditched that years ago, but he isn't allowed to forget !
Could have been worse - could have been Wham only to discover they're a couple of gay boys !!!!! !!!!!!! :o

Ryan "Ridgely" Rhodes. . Ridgeley was the not gay one who did f'all - he is married to one of the bannarama (lucky sod).

Anyway, good points there and it would be nice to have seen him get a belt. Ryan appears to be a confidence fighter, I'm sure the belt would have done wonders.

On the issue of the commonwealth belt, is it the BBBoC's matter? I remember Block arguing and suggesting that two many British guys are involved in the Commonwealth title fights. This was after Hobson vacant win (against the crack Ghanian). I've always had the impression that the BBBoC do not have so much control of the Commonwealth belt as they do the British title.
