I was one of them and openly apologise to Tony.

It was only the last two rounds that made the difference.

No one deserved to lose tonight. Tony is a winner in my eyes, what a fantastic display he put on.

I've been one to criticize Tony in the past, but after tonight he's won me over.

What a top bloke.

There are apologies from Bellew's side too, I hope! Thankfully, the earned each others lifetime respect. And maybe Tony and his team are not so hyper the next time they are in a big fight - imagine if Tony ever fights Hopkins - they would all suffer!

Toney Bellew suprised me tonight, i think he did an excellent job. The scores were way out, how can one judge have it 114-114 and another 117-112, that is just plain ridiculous. I had the fight pretty even, but i think that Cleverley shaded the 11th round and definately won the 12th round, so i think Cleverley won by a round............Just !! I thought that Bellew started off beautifully, he was effective with the jab early on, but then seemed to tire quite drastically in the 6th round and didn't really recover untill the 9th round. Bellew kept up the work rate, but was a little more sloppy than he had been, but came alive again in that 9th round. Tactics seemed to go out of the window in this fight and it was a war from the first round, which perhaps ultimately suited Cleverley in the end, but there was a lot of hype and the approach from both fighters wasn't a suprise really.

Brillinat fight, well done to both fighters, nice to see the respect for each other at the end and i think Cleverley just shaded it with the cleaner work on the inside, though that 117-112 score made a mockery of what actually happenned in the ring.

I said that Clev would win with a late rounds stoppage, I genuinely felt that he was a class above Bellew. However tonight I changed my mind as Bomber put in a massive performance and was so close yet so far. I don't think anyone had any doubts about the decision, although I had it as a draw.
Not only that but I thought that Tony carried himself excellently after the fight and he certainly went up in my estimations. He was absolutely gutted but he needn't feel too bad because he has a big future ahead of him.

I had Bomber by 1 those 2 judges had it far too wide.

Unlucky Tony but it was an exceptional peformance i had no idea you could box anywhere near that well, we all knew you could punch but that was impressivel. Domestic fight of the year candidate for sure.

Think bomber has won from that fight anyway because he will be viewed as someone who is very capable of making an impact on the world stage, big fights, big money - and im already booking tickets for the rematch.

I think people tend to alter their opinions slightly once they have heard the official verdicts. Maccranelli had it level going into the last round and i had it something similar as i think a lot of people did. I fully expected a split decision and in all honesty i wouldn't have been suprised if the verdict had gone to Bellew, but as soon as you hear that official scorecard you wonder if you scored the fight as objectively or as accurately as you would like to think you did

For what its worth , me , my brother frank, & 4 other big boxing fans had it a draw. You can see how some would have scored for Nathan but , Jesus , 5 rounds . Sorry but was the guy watching the fight.

Superb fight thought Cleverly just nicked it by 1 winning the last 2 rounds. Class at the end and in the interview from both fighters. Both can learn a lot and move on from this.

cleverly by 2.look lads i know there are a lot of Bellew fans on here but how anyone could have scored it a bellew victory is beyond me. Very close fight but Cleverly clearly won the last 2 round to take the fight. Bellew now needs to forget about cleverly and fight a few tough opponents. 2 fighters on the up and no doubt their paths will cross again down the line.

I thought Cleverley won a close but comfortable 115-113 decison.

Bellew definately did alot better then i imagined so have to credit him for lasting the distance.

Having said that i doubt either man will ever be considered the best Light Heavy in the world, Clev will come unstuck when he starts mixing with the Top 5 elite of the division.

Ismael Silakh would beat both of them easily.
