I agree with the last post, picture quality on Sky is much better and they have more HD chanels as well. I am on Virgin at the moment but I am going back to Sky when my contract ends. At the moment I have the best of both Worlds, I am using my Sky box to get 456.

allegedly are making massive mistakes. I was massively against this channel and still am to some degree but this whole thing is becoming a joke now.
I was highly impressed with the quality of the stream put on last weekend for the Clev v Bellew fight. I was greatful they even did this as i have Virgin so cant watch it on sky.
I was really looking forward to watching Donaire on the stream this weekend only to find out they are not doing it. So unless i am a sky viewer, i miss out.
That's me done with allegedly, i wont be watching any more of their shows

It looks so good at the moment. I'll subscribe the moment it's on Virgin. But I don't want to mjiss out in the meantime.

It's early days...did you cancel your SKY subscription when they ignored Carl Froch last year? Which is the bigger 'crime'?
It's been three weeks so far - great fights, controversy, blood, guts, Herol's suicide attempt, more blood, more guts, broke hands, ribs and noses, heroics of outrageous proportions, new faces, old faces, packed halls and it has all been free!
Please enjoy the 14-16 fights that will be shown live this weekend.
Adios.

Why launch a channel without getting every platform sorted? I guess it will be ready for when they charge though.

How can i enjoy this weekends fights when its not on Virgin and they have made the stupid mistake of not putting it online for us Virgin subscribers?

A thread from a Virgin customer asking when allegedly is going to be shown on the virgin platform, and all Bunce can do is tell us what we've missed and to tune in this weekend.... Epic reply
allegedly wont even answer their potential customers questions about it, if that is an insight to the customer service we can expect in the future, then they can stick it where the sun don't shine.
They need us, not the other way around - To the corner of the class for allegedly and their PR department.

Im just considering getting the lowest package but with decent internet connection and just streaming fights from now, it will save me a ton of money and suppose linking the laptop up to me tv it wont be much different in terms of picture quality, £30 quid for sky sports is a bit steep when all i erally watch is boxing, stick allegedly tenner on and premiersports and its a bit of a joke,

Sorry Buncey, Josh is right. I am not as grumpy old man as him, but not having the channel sorted out on Virgin yet is meaning we are missing out on some quality boxing. Last weekend changed my mind about allegedly with the stream and the quality of the card they put on, even liked listening to you as well. But if you have any say tell the big wigs at allegedly to sort it out quickly otherwise us Virgin guys miss out.

SteveK,
Everybody is pulling for maximum exposure and trying to sort problems like Virgin. We have to make sure, in my opinion, that forums don't just become a retreat for 100 percent knocking. Too many posts are negative - I'm in the positive business, whether it's Prizefighter or Cleverly v Bellew. If the sport is as bad as a casual reader of this site and other sites is led to believe then we are in trouble.
We have massive crowds, enormous choice on TV, exceptional champions for about the 20th consecutive year, our best amateurs and still it's knock, knock, knock...Brook is shite, DeGale rubbish, Haye useless, Cleverly clueless, Joshua chinny...come on, you have to admit that it is a negative hole (not just on this site, by the way).
Adios.

yup totally agree... too much cup half empty when really its more than half full!
A mate of mine once said that boxing attracts a certain type of person and in many cases i think he was right. Far too fickle are we in general.

I'm all for being positive but the situation at the minute takes the piss and is clearly annoying many potential viewers. If it isn't sorted soon then there will be nothing for virgin viewers to miss and therefore they won't buy.
Last week was an opportunity for a lot of people to see what the channel was about and plant it in their mind to buy it. It never happened and by the time it is available they'll probably have forgotten about it

We get about 8,000 for Bellew and Cleverly - two unbeaten fighters, drama galore, terrific fight, great to watch and it gets knocked. Would we prefer Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud not hitting each other in front of a tiny crowd? Do we think that is better entertainment? Why? Because some fat American writers tell us it means more? Because Cleverly and Bellew are not top pound-for-pound fighters? The Bellew and Cleverly live audience was bigger than 90 percent of the fights that we praise in America. I think Morales and Maidana in Vegas was watched by about 3,000 paying customers! Bellew and Cleverly was was also bigger in terms of live audience than almost all the British light-heavyweight title fights in the last 50 years! Trust me.
Adios.

Nobody is knocking the fights just the channel availability. Do you know the viewing figures from sky?

Fred,
There is a constant knocking of fights and fighters on this and many other sites - fighters notice it, trust me.
There are no viewing figures available. The Virgin situation is ongoing.
Adios.

Buncey, to be fair all the allegedly critics on this site have change our / their minds after the two great weekends of boxing that have been on. Although forums do tend to have a lot of people complaining on them in general i dont think allegedly is getting a bad response at all. It should be taken as a compliment that so many people now want to get to see the channel.
P.S i've emailed you for a with a question for Bunceys boxing hour lol its from Dan Finn (
[email protected]). but ill settle for a shout out.

I find this viewpoint a little peculiar (in general and not just your comments).
allegedly have broadcast some great fights and last saturday was a decent nights entertainment, but surely what has been provided for free in the past shouldn't automatically see me reaching into my pocket to send £10 a month Mr Warrens way without knowing what lies ahead? If I could be guaranteed the same quality and quantity of matchmaking over the next 6 months then I would seriously consider it, but the way boxing works (and Sports Network/FWP cards have been notable for this in recent times) means there are no guarantees.
allegedly will always struggle to convince subscribers to commit when there is very little guarantee of the future product.

Yeah alot of people have said the same thing but i dont see the issue, if the channel isnt delivering you just cancel your subscription. The fights have been great so far and
with the number of fighters allegedly is getting tv exposure for, i have no doubt he can put on 1 or 2 live events a week plus any archived fights and international bouts. i think £10 is now looking like a pretty good deal. I was dead against it when it was first mentioned.

You cant just cancel if you have to sign up to a 12month contract...Hoping its available on a month by month bases
