There is always food to be had from the bins out the back of Lidl. The Germans have very high standards so as long as its not a hot day the out of date stuff is fine.

Looking at Katsidas record there and im changing my mind and struggling to see Burns keeping up with him in this one

I have been thinking a lot about this one and I think Katsidis will get the decision one way or the other.

going to be a good fight that im sure many boxing fans want to see the outcome, but something tells me ricky burns will suprise alot of people and win this fight well. go rickster !!!

IF Burns loses people will say he crumbled at his first test after Martinez. He is in a no win situation.

Credit to Burns for stepping up and taking on a true live opponent for his first fight in a new division. Win, Lose or Draw he can walk away from this fight with his head held high, hes taken on hard fights throughout his career and long may it continue.

I cant decide on a single prediction for this fight, my two predictions couldnt be further apart.
Katsidis between rounds 6-8 or Burns on a unanimous points decision with Burns arse hittin the Canvas at least once.

What about Burns throwing a flurry and the ref jumping in and stopping it :)

or Burns throwing a Body shot and Katsidas Back caving in and he does a silly Lee Evans type dance .

the more i think about it the more i reckon Katsidas will find away
if Burns is on top form then it should be a cracker off a fight and then well all be happy.

Katsidis TKO rounds 9-11

Ricky Burns on points, will be a close fight but I think Burns has become a lot stronger and wiser since the Martinez fight. Katsidis didn't look the force he was against Guerrero.

Watched Katsidis' last fight earlier this week and he looked anything but shot/washed up. He was patient, and broke the opponent up. Granted, it was homecoming style occasional with an undemanding opponent (was first meant to be Graham Earl, but in the end they got a tame Mexican) and he won as he pleased. Looked very patient and powerful, he did his own thing, gave the fans a few rounds, then got the guy out of there. Was in great shape too.

Putting aside the politics of Burns' relinquishment of the super featherweight belt, and concentrating just on this fight, my concern for Burns would be him not having a big enough punch to keep Katsidis from stalking him, marching in, and opening up with his bombs as and when he pleases.

Perhaps after next Sat we'll once again appreciate the element of picking the right fights at the right time, if Burns can prevail. If I was betting two grand on this though, my money would be on Katsidis.
