I think it's logical to support a fighter from the same place as you, just as it's logical to want British athletes to win medals in the Olympics.
I don't care about the personality of fighters outside of the ring (as long as they stay on the right side of the law) so the coutry they come from seems as good a reason as any to support them.
So in answer to the question, i've never want a foreign fighter to beat a British fighter.

Not with fighters, and even with pretty much all sportsmen I go for the Brit, the one exceeption is Andy Murray, I hope the dour, petulant brat never wins a major.

Ever since he wore that Croation shirt me aswell, It's done me a favour actually because people are always willing to bet on him when he gets into one of the grandslam finals and he always chokes.

Nah never, although i do generally support Katsidis but the aussies have part of our flag anyway.
I dont see how people can not support their own country men, i always find it bizzare when people say they want to see khan ko'd or other british fighters beaten by foreign fighters. It would be like hoping the Argies beat England in the world cup.
But you know each to their own.

I want Andre ward to give Carl Froch a boxing lesson which is probably going to happen anyway. Just sick of Carl's constant moaning about about no one loving him in Britain and he keeps threatening to move to America. His biography was one long moan about the same fecking thing page after page after page.
This despite the fact that the BBC gave him a number of prime time slots and tried like fornicate to market him.
ITV tried gave him a number of prime time slots and tried like fornicate to market him
and now Sky are trying the same and finding out that he just rubs the British public up the wrong way.
Technically though Ward isn't exactly a foreign fighter as his father/grandfather was British.

Agreed.
Im not a Froch fan. Talks so much nonsense and his calling out and constant belittling of Calzaghe once he had retired really annoyed me. Joe would slaughter this man in my eyes. Ward will beat him and il be quite happy when he does and Im English.

Wouldn't 'Frank Ward' be more likely to be Irish than British?

I wanted Kessler over Froch, but his mums a Brit anyway. I usually support the fighter i expect to win more than where they're from. I like my pre-fight opinion to be true

Plenty of times. I don't root for any fighter just because of where they come from. I root for whomever I enjoy watching the most, whether they're from Peterborough or Pluto.

Even if you don't like Froch as a person, I can't understand how anyone cannot like him as a fighter

I got sick of Hamed, so wanted him to lose to Barrera for the first time ever. His attitude got too much to bear. I also wanted Vitali to beat Lewis, so we could get a new era

Yeah tell a lie i support kessler in the SMW division. Froch annoyed me with all his moaning about other champions especially calzaghe but i usually support him, and as a fighter his cv is awesome.
