Macklin has a better record than Barker and Barker had a 12 month period of inactivity recently which lowered his ranking.

Macklin was ranked at 7th before the Sturm fight and I moved him up a place after that fight. Barker was ranked at 17th before the Martinez fight and he moved up 2 places to 15th because of that fight.

I don't like to raise a fighter too far up the rankings based on a loss, so Barker didn't move up the rankings much.

Barker did well against Martinez, but ultimately he got knocked out, so I didn't think he could go up too much based on that.

Other than that a very good list IMO.

I don't think I noticed when Lee beat Bunema a few months ago, so I moved him up the rankings more than I would have done for just beating Vera because of that.

A win against Vera is better than any win Barker has in my opinion and I think Lee's record is better than Barker's, so I think Lee deserves to be ahead of Barker at the moment.

Magee lost to a better fighter in Bute than Rhodes lost to in Alvarez. Magee bounced back and won the WBA interim title in his next fight, Rhodes hasn't yet fought since his defeat.

Cleverly's record is much better than Bellew's. Putting up a good losing performance against a much higher rated opponent doesn't mean that a fighter should have a close ranking to their opponent who has a far superior record.

To be fair all those above him on the list bar John Simpson and Afolabi have one a Euro title or higher, which Tyson is yet to do. And Afolabi has been fighting at a pretty high level.

I considered entering Haskins after his win against Bouleghcha, but I didn't think it was enough considering his inactivity before the fight.

I would only consider entering a Prizefighter winner into the rankings if his opposition in the tournament was at least at English title class level as an average, and I don't think that was the case for Haskins (Broadhurst was at that level but his other opponents were not).

If Haskins can pick up another domestic class win in the next few months then he will probably enter the rankings.

Afolabi won an interim World title against Enzo. Doesn't that count as higher than Euro?

I think the top 10 is fairly weak at the moment compared to other recent years. The 11-30 section seems about as strong as normal though.

BoxRec have him rated 4th P4P in Britain, I'm not saying that's 100% accurate, but there is no way in the world he's the 21st best fighter in Britain and Ireland.

Really? Which British fighters who are not on the list should be above Simpson? Simpson is one of the most proven domestic fighters we have.
