My current favourites would be RAY FARREL and JAMES COOK. Trainers who keep a low profile and let the boxers take the limelight. These two seem to attract some of the best stylsts in the game.

Incidentally, you raised Kevin Middleton's name the other day Butch. He's a pro trainer now I've heard. Wonder who he's training.

He is bennie. Chas "The Bomb" Symmonds who is from Croydon and 6-0 I think.

Saw "The Bomb" against Ben"Catweazle"Hudson and it was a blinder. Kevin must have been very proud of his young charge.

Middleton trains him at Maloney's Fight Factory.

Cheers, The Butch. Middleton was the first man to beat Jonjo Irwin I believe (cuts) and, as you said, was desperately unlucky to have had his career curtailed by some scumbag who jumped out of a car and stabbed him. What made it worse, was that as Kev lay injured on the roadside, the assailant's elderly father also got out of the car and attempted to kick Kev in the head.
Sickening.
Good to hear Kev is still up and coming, in another field of the sport.

You can't keep a good man down Bennie! If some of Kevin's
determined attitude rubs off on Symmonds (which appears to be
the case) then Chas is in with a shout. I still miss seeing Middleton
box though, but nice to see him back in the sport as you say.

Re the Abrahams antics, everyone just pissed themselves, Brendan included.
Ojay is a character and the sport needs them.
I was at the weigh in for this fight, and had rushed there straight from work so I was booted and suited.
I think OJ must have thought I was someone important and I suffered 45 minutes of constant self over hyping - until he realised I was with Rhodes !
I recall Richie Wenton giving him some as well at the same weigh in.
Hope he's made enough to look after his youngster from the business.
