I'm fairly split on this.

On the one hand it seems like an impossible task to stop Vitali and therefore taking an ultra-aggressive approach and trying to blast him out inside the first few rounds would appear foolish and way too risky given the power Vitali also possesses. However at the same time, given that the fight is in Germany and given the fact that Vitali is a better technical boxer than Haye and coupled with his obvious height, weight and reach advantages, I can't see that an in and out, box and move approach would work either as I don't think that he would be able to execute this across an entire fight despite his speed advantage.

All in all, it is a huge task that faces Haye and in reality he probably can't win the fight but I feel that the only way to give himself any sort of chance is to come out swinging bombs. I appreciate that this is unlikely to happen or work if he did adopt this tactic but I don't really see any other way he can win. He should have adopted those tactics against Wlad and I wonder whether Booth will implore him to be much more aggressive this time around.

I dont know what people are moaning about, Haye v Vitali is the biggest fight out there for the heavyweight division. Even if you think Vitali will demolish him, Haye is still the biggest threat out there, so it makes sense, who else would you rather see Vitali fight, honestly?

I really hope Haye does not talk himself out of a deal here. He has an opportunity to redeem himself and should take whatever he can get as the chance wont come again.

To the fight itself, Vitali is slower than Wlad, both in foot movement and hand speed. He carries his hands lower than his younger brother, and is more agressive in opening up, all of which could play in Haye's favour. I give him a better chance at getting his shots of against Vitali, which would at least make the fight entertaining. Still, its hard to imagine him KO'ing Vitali.

I can see what you're saying, but I believe the opposite.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think Haye punches as hard at HW as he thinks he does.

He can punch, make no mistake, but I don't think he possesses the concussive one shot power at HW that would be necessary to topple someone like Vitali.

I can't see him winning, but I believe his best shot is to run & use his speed.

Thinking the same thing... Cant understand after last preformance why you'd want to go

I've got valid reasons

1. good excuse for a lads piss up
2. its not that much money
3. im a haye fan one poor peformance doesnt define a career - ending on one does
4. i was born and spent half my life in germany so it would be nice to go over again

If the only reason to spend £250 - £300 quid was to go and watch say haye v wlad i would have felt ripped off, like the saps who paid £2k to go and watch england in the last world cup, but put all the reasons together and you've got a memorable weekend. Plus i think haye will do us proud this time win or loose.

Yeah i may try to get to Germany for this fight as well.

Personally i didn't even think his performance against Wlad was quite as bad as others make out and he certainly had his moments although his biggest mistake was assuming he'd have a massive hand and foot speed advantage over Wlad when in reality there wasn't much in it.

Also there is no way he needs to come back just for the money, he must have made around £15 million just for his Heavyweight fights alone. I'm sure he genuinely wants this fight as much because he thinks he can win then to erase peoples memories of his last fight.
