A bunch of nobodies from Hollyoaks and that Only Way is Essex rubbish? No thanks.

I just don't think boxing needs this right now.

I'm not sure why you would think that. Maybe it does not appeal to the purist but I reckon the more inclusive boxing becomes the wider the audience it will attract and surely all the better for the sport. There is enough talk of boxing being inaccessible at the mo (pay tv etc) so surely an initiative that widens it's target audience will prove to healthy for the sport in the long run.

I actually say Jodie Marsh in a white collar fight against Lindsay Dawn McKenzie. It was a bizarre night at the MEN with, I shít you not, about 100 paying customers in a venue with a capacity of 20,000!

Ouch!

will not allow that to happen,it opens the gates for other promoters to do un licensed shows surely???????? and sky are going to show it???????

Celebrity @PrizefighterUK 3 x 2 minute rounds..same format..preview shows will feature all the training then LIVE on the big night

I would not waste my time watching a Prizefighter involving celebrities who can't box.
I don't understand why Hearns would want to arrange something like this
Why does he want to make a mockery out of a success?
No thank you.

That's the gal. Allegedly back in the days you could slip her a grand and her and her sister would go out with you for the night and ply you with as much free drink and sherbet as you could handle.

fight details wrote:Celebrity Boxing

The phenomenon that is CELEBRITY BOXING makes its first visit to the M.E.N. Arena on Friday 9 September.

With pride and reputations at stake there are some great bouts to look forward to such as:-

Gary Pallister (Former Man Utd Legend, pictured) V John Aldridge (Former Liverpool player)

Rhino (Gladiator) V Michael Carroll (£9.7m lottery lout)

Linsey Dawn McKenzie (Model) V Jodie Marsh (Model):

Craig Philips (Big Brother winner) V Terry Gibson (former Man Utd Player)

Guy Myers (Manchester City Fan) V Kevin Foran (Manchester United Fan)

Jack Marsden (The Cops) V Piers Hernu (Editor FHM Magazine)

Please note the change to the card: due to a back injury, John Fashanu will not appear, Rhino will take on Michael Carroll instead.

Trevor Dwyer-Lynch (Patrick in 'Coronation Street') will compere the evening..
I think Gary Pallister never rocked up and Clayton Blackmore took his place.

It was a really embarrassing affair.
