I've bought it most every week since 1987. As someone earlier said, it was THE trade paper. I'd concede he colour paper and loss for the old paper and feel and coverage of the old magazine. (I think that's a reaction to the times and not a critism of the editors).

I think it does need to go back to being more of "the trade paper" but then again i realise it needs to pull in the masses.

As long as it still reviews EVERY UK show each week i'll still buy it

bang on the money, we all know all of the news and have read all of the fight reports and seen jane couches interviews etc, a long time before it hits print. its a shame but it is not suffering anymore than every other type of magazine. the internet covers every subject in great detail.....from gardening to uphill gardening.

I wonder how much sales of razzle and fiests have dropped since the advent of the net, frankie vaughn is available for nothing and in great detail. i remember readers wives being a highlight of my life as a young teenager, ive not seen a fiesta for years.

i only buy BN prior to a flight or train journey, thats all.

My only issue with it is there seems to be more and more grammatical and statistical errors. I'm probably been too picky, but it really grinds on me, edit reading is a basic skill in journalism, yet week after week I find it riddled with stupid errors.

The other week, when they previewed Joe Selkirk's undercard figtht with Ryan Toms, Selkirk (who was 7-0(4)) at the time, was listed in Boxing News as 2-0 (4). 2 fights, 2 wins, with an impressive 4 stoppages.

boxing news should embrace the digital age, invest in a new website and have as many pictures clips adverts features as it wants on it, as its free - the more traffic driven to its website the more interest in its magazine.Boxing News doesnt have a substantial web presence and most people on this forum barely check it compared to this site eastside fightnews etc
I for one hardly ever check its website but its usually not updated daily which is a must for any website and doesnt include the type of stuff that boxrec does, e.g forum,fighters records etc.If it improved its website it could make money via the website through affiliate marketing

That is true. There are more errors than there seems to have been for a while. I think the general feeling is alot of people still enjoy reading it but the content isnt as good as it was. As was mentioned you skim through it in no time.

Dan you might be using an old link (from an old webpage on the older site) from your web tool bar . www.boxingnewsonline.net
