Doy uo think so? Ali is a multiple World Champion, Million Dollar Tournament Champion & has been a consistent top 5 fighter and has a tremendously good win percentage ratio.
What did you expect?

(not having a pop, just enquiring).
:TU:

Just the losses mate, losses againts fighters you'd normally expect him to beat. Then again, this is The Sim so you've got to expect the unexpected.

Like I said before, a strong finish to the season (coupled with what he's already achieved) puts him in a good position for when HoF voting comes around.

Fair enough.
But I do think that other Managers (including yourself) are being a too critical of some of the top fighters this season. Ali's achievements this season are excellent (and we would all agree
if it were any other fighter) and I think the same can be said of Joe Louis - if anyone else was a 4-time World Champion, they would be widely commended.

I don't know what it is, it's hard to put my finger on it, but it's almost as if we have been sort of expecting another Tiger Jack Fox, and because it hasn't happened we are diappointed and as such are being too harsh on the big name fighters.
Overall though, I think that this has been perhaps THE most exciting & competitive season to date.

The wealth of talent on display this season is scaringly good, and maybe it's the depth of the pool and the fact that there are so many good fighters hanging around that has stopped any one man from really dominating.

Well I would guess that Muhammad isn't far off...

Ali's chin has actually been pretty good (by sim standards anyway) since early losses to Stribling and Liston. 6 of the 15 knockdowns he's suffered this season came in those 2 fights, and his only stoppage loss since then was on cuts to Jeannette. Also he's only been down once in the last 13 fights.

Gene Tunney has pretty much performed like I expected, although I thought he could have won fights against Dempsey, Johnson, Jeffries, Jackson and especially Foreman who came in completely unprepared and still managed to stop Tunney late. his best win is probably against Mike Tyson, Tiger Jack Fox or Young Stribling but also had draws with Ali, Dempsey and Jackson. Tunney has been a part of 11 World title fights, although only managed to win the WBO title which he defended 4 times.

Sam McVey, I thought would have done a little better to this point, most of the time I stepped up his level of opposition he would lose, although he has faced nearly all the big names from this season. One thing I did this season was have him face all the other fighters in the list that have names that start wit "Mc" and he defeated them all claiming "the king of the Mc`s" trophy. McVey`s best win has to be Riddick Bowe but he also ended up on the losing end of Split decisions with Lennox Lewis and his stablemate Gene Tunney. McVey also managed to get two World title shots this season but lost both to Ali and Dempsey respectively. hopefully I can get him a WBU shot before the season is done.

Overall, not too bad of a season except my goal of getting Tunney into the Hall of Fame probably won`t be achieved.

Tunney has probably been one of the best defensive fighters this season. He's only been knocked down 4x in total, and only once since week 11. His opponents are also landing less than 30% of their punches for the season. Not a HOF season, but still solid.

I'm sure that the cap is being kept on this weeks details because "SD" means "Shyt Decision".
