Not discrediting what your saying just asking the question - im assuming from that list that Ray Austin must have been one of them despite it saying TKO not KO and then im a bit puzzled from there on , im going to see if i can find out on youtube in the meantime

In my view theres nothing wrong with him fighting Perez on PAPER at least , hes got some good names on his record so can hang with someone like Perez and at the same time if Perez was to win he should in theory give him a good working test , but thats all in theory and boxing isnt always as the script says

To be fair they were both very very good shots that would have put many of the worlds best down , so difficult to say if his resistance has gone , but they would have definately done some damage .

I wish i hadn't said who he was now and certainly didn't expect a post like yours....you make out like DW has been around for 20 years when infact it's 10 years and 33 fights which is nothing compared to most boxers out there so he's relatively fresh even at 43 years old and he still feels he can do some damage in the Heavyweight landscape. Remember this is one of the last men who had Wladimir Klitschko in trouble and was unlucky they stopped the fight on a dubious cut stoppage.

He has more then enough ability and experience to beat someone like Mike Perez and he's not come back to be a journeyman or gatekeeper but rather put some good wins together and maybe get a World title shot down the road. He knocked out Micheal Marrone in his last fight only to see Marrone get a world title fight at Cruiserweight which is messed up especially as DW would have jumped at the chance.

Rags is top notch in boxing and would never do anything like support a boxer who he thought didn't have anything left to give or shouldn't be boxing so don't jump to conclusions next time.

Williams can punch and he is no worse than anyone who Perez has fought.

Williamson rocked Meehan and was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage; it's not as if it was a one-sided fight in Meehan's favor. I don't see how that type of result (or the loss to Austin, who was top 15 at the time) suggests that Perez-Williamson would be a mismatch.

I remember when Perez turned pro. his manager said he had the punching power of a Mike Tyson with 10x the boxing ability.

Perez was World Junior Champ, way back when and he has hit a plateau. I don't believe he is world class. He is decent but nothing special. He is, as has been stated, woefully inactive, anyone know why? Management issues?

You guys are sick. Williamson is done. The evidence is right there on videotape/YouTube. The man lost badly, brutally to Austin and Meehan, neither of these men are anywhere near top level. His days as a top level fighter finished many years ago and now, regardless of when he turned pro, he is 43 and should not be licensed.

Anyone twisting the facts, being selective with the truth in order to justify feeding an old, battle damaged Williamson to 20-something punchers like Perez completely deserves to end up in the same health TOS will end up in before long.

I hope the money is worth it.
