A lowered rated fighter....(E.G. Max Rosenbloom in a previous season) who outperforms his rating should be given serious consideration. That would seem to me to be a more difficult achievement than guiding a Marciano, Ali or a Louis to an expected top rating.
And yet should the likes of Schmeling or Jeanette be given presidence over a higher-rated fighter like Ali, Marciano or Louis when assessing the credibility of the top 6 fighters?
And if they are, in which case, the top six becomes rather pointless because we are not actually having the best six fighters in there...

Gonna make a decision on this after this week's fights. Some of you with fighters that may be on the cusp and could use another big win may want to pursue a big fight this week.
IMO, Dempsey and Ali are firmly in (no homo) The rest I need to take a look at more closely. :geek2:

Foreman has found his form lately, but for much of the season he's been very up and down. For the record very few fighters would be considered exceptional wins.
Fair enough, but then if we are ignoring historical significance, then fighters like Joe Jeanette cannot be said to have overachieved this season since we're ignoring what the real fighter did a century ago.
Thus, Jeanette should definitely NOT be getting in because he has not achieved enough this season.
I'm just saying that sim ratings and this season's performance count more than historical perception. JJ doesn't have the sparkling record that some have, but his strength of schedule is fantastic, as well as 4-5 good-great wins. Not saying he makes it, but certainly in the running.

The ''sim'' season is what it is. Historical significance has nothing to do with it.

Idea:
If a fighter is crap in the first couple of rounds of fights they could get replaced like Jermain Taylor

Petyer Jackson is the stand out performer this season.
He is a 6 time champion, has wins over Dempsey, Ali and Marciano amongst others
Late season form means little.

Indeed Marciano's hands are bruised and battered from KO'ing so many legends in a row, including Jackson X2.
He simply has wearied from defeating former "champions" so dominately for such an extended period of time.
