Fancied him very strongly indeed. Couldn't see any odds anywhere - though I did leave it until just before the off to look.

Never thought I'd see John Simpson TKO'd by one punch.
I thought he would take Selby to school tonight with his experience and Selby's supposedly lack of power.

Too bad the fight never caught fire though, which is also unusual for a fight involving Simpson.
I guess Selby just had the tools to deal with him.

Well it was a good body shot, was impressed so far by Selby. no-one has done that to Simpson and i didn't think Selby could. But the lad did good.

doubtful he'll fight again. he was talking of walking away if this one didne go well.

Two very impressive back-to-back wins for Selby. He is looking like a rising star. I would like to see him in against Martin Lindsay next, that would be an excellent fight.

Sad to see Simpson stopped for the first time. He is only 28, but unfortunately he pushing towards an old 28. He has been in some epic British fights and definitely doesn't deserve to have nine defeats on his record. It is hard to see where he goes from here, the Smith defeats seemed to knock a bit of the stuffing out of him and I got the feeling he was disillusioned with the sport. Whatever he decides to do I wish him the best of luck for the future.

Bow locks , left after doing robin deakins corner. Fighting Friday & making weight so didn't stay . I'm not shocked . Selby I rated v highly . He had me over twice which many others couldn't ever do. The sky is the limit for him. Really nice fella too. Fair play

Well done to Lee Selby. Suprised many tonight by not only beating Simpson but by doing something no others could and stop him. The fight was close up until the stoppage. Must say I didn't know very much about Selby until the Smith fight but he's handled the both very well. Good luck to him. As for John, he must get sick of people saying how unlucky he's been throughout his career, but he really has been unlucky and never really looked like a guy that's lost 9fights. What does he do now? I think there's a few things he could do. Drop down to Super Bantamweight and have a go there? Stay on at Featherweight or called it a day. John is only 28 but as someone said early he looks like his best days are maybe behind him. Whatever he does he's been a credit to the sport.

I have told you ALL for a while that Selby was one to watch, I told you ALL he would stop Smith and I knew he would stop Simpson tonight. You have still only seen a litle of what he can do.

Really like this kid he has one of those whatever you can do I will top it attitudes, he should go straight to the Euorpean title now, Miskirtchian is nothing special I think Truscott handled him comofortably if memory serves already, so get the Euro belt and then come back and give Smith the rematch, It will be the same result but it gives allegedly a decent British and European level fight for there channel.

This kid could go a very long way well done Lee Selby very impressed.

Tut! You're obvously not a proper boxing fan mate! Something like Kell Brook 'continued to sell-out badminton halls and wait for his world title'.

I can't believe that Bunce doesn't actually recognise the progress Kell has made since changing stable. Two sell-out fights in his home town (don't think he EVER fought in Sheff under FW) and two very impressive wins against fighters hugely superior to anyone he had ever faced before (The Ring had Jackiewicz at #6 Welterweight before he boxed Kell).

And yes, i AM saying that N'Dou and Jackiewiczin front of sell-out crowds is a step-up from Philip Kotey on a James Degale undercard!
