Yes, actually, he did. And McClellan didn't blink (well, he may've done a bit of that).

And Saad, KO% means nothing. Quality of punches means everything. Even if you're not a good finisher, the impact of punches and the opponent's reactions are the best indicator of power, in my opinion. Tua moved people with punches that landed on the gloves. There are always anomalies, but the vast majority of the time when he hit you, you felt it for days. I don't even like Tua. His skills were up to nothing, but his power was second to none.

So people are saying that McClellan is the best example in the history of boxer of a big puncher with a good chin....based on one fight against Jackson? (he certainly didn't take anything off him in their second fight)

I agree that Leonard and Nelson are also poor choices, for what its worth.

And Saad, Tua was an AWFUL fighter. Watching some of his bouts, if the opponent shows ANY movement, he DOES NOT THROW. I bet thats accounted for many of his poorer outings.

There is no doubt about that, I just never saw him as a devastating puncher either. He is with Vitali in the most overrated puncher pile for me. You have to admit, he has never really done much beyond stopping Ruiz. The rest is on reputation.

As far as McClellan's chin, it's the shots you saw him take. People make a lot out of the smaller Wayne McCullough lasting the distance with Hamed, but the fact is he didn't take too many flush punches in that fight. His display of toughness against Morales was far more impressive even though Morales was not as big a puncher. I base punching power and chin on what I see, not what's on paper.
