Fury only gets the Channel 5 fights on the nights Primetime have something on. They are owned by the same company and use the Fury fights as sort of an advertisement/build up. They are linked.

I hope you've both been keeping well.

I felt compelled to make a rare post after looking at this thread, as once again your comments have left me with the feeling that the two of you could take any thread on this forum and spin it into propaganda directed against B O. X. N. A. T. I. O. N.

Seriously, have you nothing better to do?

Do you not think it's time you give BN a fair throw of the dice, as let's be honest, without the channel you would be only really be left with Sky's bumper  line up for 2012....

I leave you with the two schedules of the two respective channels....

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,12947,00.html

http://www.Allegedly channel.tv/boxing-matches/

Come on, its time for the two of you to stop this charade and acknowledge that BN's schedule of live boxing for the first quarter is the strongest currently available on a UK TV platform!
OK. My post was:

Interesting to see who picks this up, TV-wise.

Allegedly channel have been hoovering everything up and have certainly put on shows with less appetising headliners than this one. But given Mr Warrens very public and repeated criticisms of the big dancing fool, would this be an hypocrisy too far?

If someone at C5 had any sense, they'd put this on and use it to build a Fury v Audley fight.

Considering this is a thread about the Adams - Harrison fight and my query is over who will televise the fight, I'm not sure where the anti BN propaganda comes in.

Maybe it's the "less appetising headliners" comment. But I stand by that. It's a personal viewpoint, but I would prefer to watch this fight over at least the following:

Williams v McPhilbin
Stieglitz v Weber
Matthews v Marsili
McKenzie v Dodson

It is also potentially more competitive a match up than Cleverly v Karpency, a man who, according to Boxrec, is less justified than 81 others in deserving a shot at the title Cleverly holds.

Or maybe it's my questioning of whether Mr Warren, as one of the significant shareholders in BN and the very public face of the channel, would want to open himself up to accusations of hypocrisy and broadcast an Audley fight despite repeated criticisms of him in the recent and not-so-recent past?

This is a fight that will have more general public interest than 90% of fights broadcast across all TV platforms over the coming year, despite what us hardcore fans think of it, so surely a query over it's potential broadcast platform is valid in a thread talking about the fight?

As for my acknowledgement that the BN schedule is the strongest of current UK broadcasters, in terms of quantity certainly, but in terms of quality (both fights and broadcast) that can be questioned. The fight with the best balance between competitiveness and imagination-capturing is probably Brook v Hatton (on Sky). While I am interested in seeing Cleverly, Burns and Mitchell, none are in any remote danger of losing while the opposite can be said of Chisora who has surely been offered up by FWP as a way of securing a Klitschko fight on BN?

Finally, if BN didn't exist, I think it's safe to say that the likes of Mitchell, Burns, Cleverly, Chisora and DeGale would be shown by Sky. After all they did broadcast all their fights until their promoter upped sticks and took his fighters wholesale to his own channel. I'll be honest, if that means that I miss out on the likes of Matthews v Marsili and Williams v McPhilbin, then I can live with that.

And to give BN a fair shake of the dice? I did that when I subscribed from the outset and when their December schedule fell apart after the first night and then when their January schedule fell apart soon after and then when I was told by Mr Warren that we shouldn't have expected anything different as December and January are typically boxing-light months and then when yet another broadcast ended before the end of the bout (4 times I make that now) and then when someone who makes Bobby Gunn look like Joe Frazier is served up for Nathan Cleverly and then when Steve Bunce called me pompous and a pillock for questioning the dearth of fights in the line up pre-subscription. Tell me, when do I stop rolling the dice? If I compare January-March 2011 to January-March 2012, I find I am paying £10 more for less boxing entertainment. That's not propaganda, it's my truth.

Adams doesn't look up to much but surely Audley's heart isn't in it any more (Was it ever)? Is there a decent chance of a hungry Adams just outworking a fat, old, zero stamina Audley who's just cheating himself and really doesn't know why he's in there?

I completely agree - imagine the viewing figures on Channel 5 if he boxed Tyson Fury ?

Been speaking to Ali ans he is very confident of a win. Not only that he truly believes he'll knock him out. Can't believe how well this is being received by the majority of boxing fans.

He deserves a chance to erase his dire performance against Britain's best HW. Hopefully he can turn it on ala Williams 2 or when he KTFO Sprott and destroyed the prizefighter brigade.

One chance to walk away into the sunset with your gloves held (moderately) high Audley.

P.s remember to blow your snot box this time.

Yes, I very much doubt that beating Ali Adams salvages his legacy. Adams isn't seen on the same level as Rogan, Sexton on Big fat John

This is a test to see how good Adams actually is, but if I hear one people saying Audley has proven himself if he wins I will chuck myself into the River Dee

Yes, probably worth pushing the boat out and getting ringside tickets, its going to be a great "fight" and you don't want to miss any of the action. I'll make do with reruns of Taggart.

Realistically this should be viewed as a warm up fight to getting British or European honours next for Harrison fans / fan. If he gets a one of those titles i dont think its completely rediculous to think he may get a world title shot. I mean fury has been talked about having a shot, and chisora has come off two defeats with no title to get one albeit one was a clear win. The division is in a bad way and harrison is a decent draw.

Audley doesn't have much ringwear but he is 40, rusty, and so injury prone simply stepping into the ring might tear his bicep or fracture his shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised to see Audley outworked by a willing Adams (I thought he beat Rogan but was simply being punished ala Bigfoot/Witherspoon) but, realistically, Harrison should whack this guy after a few ugly rounds.

If this is on C5 it will get millions of viewers, no doubt whatsoever about it.

Say what you want about Audley but he is a character and has the intrigue.

As an Audley fan from the start I'm pretty realistic about his chances. He is 40 now and is probably several stone overweight at the mo. I'v never seen Adams box so won't pass comment but judging purely by record even Audley in this state should have too much, but I'd be amazed if I ever see Audley contest the European title again. Fury, or whoever the British champ is come the summer, may choose to defend the British belt against him but even that I think is another fight away after the Adams fight, and I dunno if he will have enough now to beat a Chisora or someone like that in a British title eliminator.
